Yes, mine receives HD. I am very pleased so far and although I don't listen to HD radio all that much, the little I have to this point, reception is clear.

Only reason I haven’t bought one yet is I’m unsure whether or not you still have to remove it for an auto car wash.

Would be cool to retrofit a power up/ down antenna from a 3rd gen 4Runner.

I installed one and haven't had a problem going through the touchless and brush car wash.

An update - I ordered one from the antenna source. It's so-so. FM is fine, one station on my presets is worse but I don't listen to that one much so no big deal. I'm not getting great reception on AM tho. I live in Madison, CT and listen to wfan out of NYC. I lose it a bit here and there. It's tolerable but not as good as stock. I will give it some time and see if it annoys me.

I haven’t noticed any issues bringing in all stations including HD.
It’s been on there a year and a half.

I live in the Portland vicinity, and I have travelled as far south as Albany, OR listening to a PDX FM station that started to fade at about 50 miles.

I got a little shorty from autozone or one of them guys. Gets hd radio. In town is great out in the sticks the options are limited but I normally listen to iHeartRadio or pandora anyways lol

That is the one I bought and have no issues on the prairies.

Channels come in fine in and out of the city. We went on a recent USA road trip and an hour outside city and channels were still strong. Crossed the border and the XM channels didn't skip a beat.

A nice little antenna for the $30cad I paid, shipped, from Amazon. I notice no difference in quality, sound or range. As for AM channels I have no clue as I don't listen to AM.

Doesn't hit the work parkade entrance every day, which is a bonus. I even managed to install it without the included Toyota OEM antenna tool.

i originally went with a 3" mast from antenna source but the reception was crap outside of town.

switched to the copper 6.75" mast and its almost oem quality reception.

Signal will always be worse than the stock one with the shorty antenna. It’s mainly just for looks.

Like I said I never had a problem with the shorty and I still have the POS stock unit in my truck. I pick up every local channel and HD channel here in SOCAL and when I do go on road trips never an issue, I actually get more AM channels from farther away than the usual local ones.....

if that is the case, then sat antenna would be useless. as long as the coil is a 1/4 of the wave length reception should be just fine (not ideal, its a compromise)

if you actually pull apart a sat antenna, you will find that the coil inside is about 1/4 of the sat wave length.

31" vehicle antenna is pretty close to the 1/4 wave length of the FM signal @ 100 mhz

I got the 6" one. It screws on fine and looks good and is impervious to the brushes in the car wash. The radio reception isn't quite as good as the stock one, but probably about 75% of the original.

My original antenna was starting to take a significant lean from the car wash brushes. I fear it was just a matter of time before it was ripped off, possibly damaging the fender.
