Maybe. It's a limited with tweeters and 6 disc changer. Local shop just quoted me $120 for the harness

if your radio has a seperate amp then the regular connectors will not work. sometimes if you look at the amp it has the other connector you need.

I don't know where the amp is. I just see the two connectors. Ones the steering control and the other is the radio

In my dc with the jbl, the amp was behind the rear panel. I used a bypass from crutchfield.

And this is what I call a Tennessee Patent. Rigged this up to vacuum out the evap and cleaned it as best as I could. And yes, that's an old sock repurposed as a rag.

Yeah I have all those parts and talked to them earlier this week.

Edit: I don't have the amp bypass. I don't know what that is. I have a bypass for the parking brake.

Bumping this old post. I'm going to order Noico soon. Did we determine that covering every inch is not necessary? I'm hoping there is enough in the box to do my wife's Rav4 as well.

Well I had to make a run to car toys for a different harness. Needed the Toyota premium audio harness. They tried to sell me an all in one harness for.$129 but I go just the one plug I needed for $25.
I finally crashed from lack of sleep. But now I'm confused because I'm left with a blue power antenna wire, and a black and white amp ground wire. I don't know what to do with them. I want to just tie the amp ground into the other chassis ground wires.
I've never had an audio project go so off the rails before. Especially after I prepped so carefully. I'm so ready to just throw it back together stock and take it to a pro on my next day off. I'm so frustrated.

    Update.

Got the pioneer in the dash, the steering wheel controls work, the touch screen works, it's paired with my phone but the speakers don't seem to work.

Now with this harness there's no wires to wire into the pioneer speaker wires. However there are av cables. I followed the directions and plugged each color coded cable from the harness into the pioneers red and white av cables but I have no sound.

Since you're thinking of baking them open, why not retrofit? Its nice and easy on these. Just don't use the cheap chinesium projectors like I did. LOL

That's certainly a possible option in the future. For now I have the ultimate 95/w100 h4 upgrade harness and bulbs installed. In the meantime I just need to adjust the new headlights.

Did you have the factory 6 disk without JBL?

If so follow that single harness down behind the dash. You should see an amp that is held in by two 10mm. Pull the entire ac controls out of their respective clips and you can get to those 10mm with a long extension. On the bottom of that amp you should see two plugs that match the 70-1761 harness that you have. No need to buy some stupid expensive harness.

Well, I had some time to play with my rear end today (har har). I flipped the lift block around, and it changed the shuddering, but didn’t get rid of it. Now it shudders less at 15-25, bit more at 60-65, and much less at 72+.

I also gained some shudder at about 45 or so.

I then added the carrier bearing slacker and it made no noticeable difference. Ugh.

Gave her a much-deserved wash before the bugs came out.

I freaking drove it. I also gave it a little more caster. It's at 2.5* now and I think it needs at least another degree. It also still sits a little tall. No matter, I'm driving it this week. I'll fiddle on the weekend.

You may have just.solved the puzzle.

And here I thought it was.for.a.literal power.up and.down antenna.like they used to have on older cars. I taped it up. So now tomorrow I'll try wiring it.to some power.

Check the manual. Some of the power antenna wires will only output on am/fm so the amp would turn off if switched to a different source.

Most I've seen have a separate antenna and remote turn on lead.

I dontthink covering every inch is needed.
Just covering the big sections should be good enough

I guess I didn't really explain this too well so Ill give it another shot. If your truck has the 6 disc without JBL, then you have two options.

    A) Bypass the factory amplifier. (preferred) This is how it should be done in my opinion, speakers are now powered off of the head-unit as most traditional systems are. Locate the amplifier that is located behind the A/C controls. Remove amp, install new radio with the 70-1761 harness. This harness will plug into these wires:

    B) Integrate the factory amp. This will be sending a pre-amp signal into your factory amplifier that you have no control over the settings. This will use the harness that plugs into the factory 6 disc and you will need to use the 70-8112 harness. This harness will plug into these wires:

Whichever route you choose you're still gonna get noise. Its just that you're more likely to like the noise you get going with option A.

Here is the amp in question.

How do I know if its JBL?

I assumed it was because it's a limited with 6 disc and tweeters. I replaced the speakers several weeks ago
