Does anybody know where to get the blackout emblems that cover the existing emblems?
Not the ones that just stick onto the face where you can see the Crome.
I’m looking for the limited blackout one all of them I’ve seen only come with sr5 ones

I don't think they make one for the Tundra specifically, but I recall reading that the 4runner Nighshade edition Limited badge is very close in dimensions. Which comes black stock.

    Limited is here: https://parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oem-parts/toyota-black-limited-emblem-pz31660052?c=az0x
Not sure if it covers your crome Limited emblem or if you need to remove the old emblem and put this one on. If it's the latter, just put painters tape just below and to the left or right of the emblem and use fishing wire or similar to remove, then place your new emblem using the tape as a guide (here is a video... there are plenty on the web: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clI78qfUqlg)

Do the new emblems have self adhesive tape (3M?) or glue on the back or do you have to buy the 3M tape and apply it?

The emblems you get from Toyota/@Roman have 3M tape on them already. Just remove the emblem and any residual tape, clean with alcohol and apply the new emblems. You can see examples in my pics of them applied.

This. The black Limited emblems are a replacement emblem, not an overlay. The old Limited emblem will have to be removed.

To get a "Limited" overlay you can buy the Blackout emblem kit for a 16+ Tacoma. Part number PT948-35180-02.

I called my local dealer, got the overlay kit, and then asked about the Limited overlay as well.. They had a couple extra laying around and they gave them to me for free.. $150 for all.. good deal, and they worked well.

Not to hijack, it seems strange they make an overlay and a complete replacement. Why? And what is the one to get? Thanks..

What is everyone's opinion. New black emblems or black over lays. Which is better? Does the overlays last just as long? Or is it just easier to get the overlays? Thanks
