Damn those wheels and tires came out great. I'm the same when it comes to putting in the effort to clean those areas. I too have back issues so I rarely get down and spend much time there. It's funny you mentioned those brushes and wise guy, I actually just found my set of drill brushes that I bought a few months ago and forgot about. They look just like yours and I have yet to use them. I got them specifically to prep tires for the optimum, now I just have to get out there and do it. Thanks for the write up and reminder.
This pic is the last time "I" cleaned my wheels, she probably did better than I usually do.

These brushes are great all around. I’ve had the, for a while, but hadn’t thought to use them in this way. I’ve used them on tough shower / tub stains, carpet stains, etc. It never crossed my mind to use them on the tires until I came across the Power Cone this morning.
One thing I’ll recommend on the tires is not to go in the same direction for the whole tire. Go in the direction that feels like it’s giving more resistance. It’ll switch on each half of the tire. I think it was counter clockwise on the left half, clockwise on the right. It cleans better that way.

Of course, if she enjoys cleaning the wheels, I’d stick to that system!

Looks SWEET! Gonna have to give that a whirl. I'm with you, cleaning rims and tires is a pain literally and figuratively.

I have those same wheels what is your favorite product to clean them with before coating, I’m always Leary to try something new on them for fear of damaging the finish. Also what size shank is on the brushes and cone. As one who loathes cleaning wheels this seems like something that might not be too hateful and my wheels and tires might just get cleaned more often

I thought I was the only one that hated to get down there and clean the wheels. I think that kicks my ass more than anything in the entire cleaning process.

I didn’t have good luck with that on the rock warrior wheels. Your’s are lots more open. They look real real good.

Excellent. Thank you sir. I was wondering how this would work on painted wheels since it says it's for metal. I know some of the metal polishing tools can be harsh on painted surfaces.

My wheels are faded and beat from sand, mud and other trail things, so I was considering polishing them with some Nu Finish or other inexpensive cleaner polish. I was dreading this due to the curves and intricate areas, but knowing the Power Cone won't hurt them further is great.

    Jason,
    Thanks for posting this up:thumbsup:
I suffer from this same thing, but instead of using a chair creeper. I use a flat creeper and place one of foldable bleacher chairs on it. I find it way easier on my back to work around the low areas of my truck.

    I believe it’s a 1/4 shank on both items.

On this cleaning I used P&S Brake Buster, diluted 3:1.

    P&S Detailing Products RT40 - Brake Buster Non-Acid Wheel Cleaner ( 1 Quart ) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RTZBGWX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_j2IFDb0EDCYFJ

P21S and Poorboys Wheel Cleaner are also very good.

It’s pretty soft. I can’t imagine it’s going to damage anything.

That’s a great idea. I use a little rolling stool, but your set up gets even lower.

Well shit I have been using the P & S Brake Buster straight up with no dilution. Is 3:1 the way to go with this stuff?

It doesn’t say anywhere on the gallon container, but that’s what was recommended on The Rag Company Podcast. It works fine that way.

I actually use it at 5:1...tried it at full strength I ended up with some residue
