You could always get some color matched vinyl and just do that little corner.

I think messing with it would be worse. I don't know about the silver ones (I'll look when I get home) but the black is part of the back of the enclosure. It goes all the way under the bottom with a tiny line.

    Thanks!

Like I thought, the silver goes under the reflector to the bottom like the black on the black one.

I just dropped the lower panels off to be painted. They will be ready tomorrow!

    Getting closer!

Edit I dropped it near work & work from home tomorrow. I called and left a message I'll get it Thursday.

Headlight harness out for delivery Thanks (xrunnerdude67). Have to decide if I want to drive around without the fill panels under the lights because the shop was closed until Tuesday when I went Thursday to get them.

I'll most likely go without as I want to install the lights.

Lights are in. 100% plug & play thanks to xrunnerdude67. They look great even missing the fill panels.

I went ahead and fit the fill panels on my truck until I could find the time to get them painted. Buuut I had grey panels on a silver truck, so I guess it depends upon what you can visually tolerate.

The ones I bought are at the bodyshop. They were done Thursday but the shop was closed for the long weekend by the time I got there. I'll get them Tuesday.

Not to take this thread off track, but has anyone used a clear film as a protectant on our expensive lights?

I just ordered some clear laminate-x film. Precut for the 18+ sequoia headlights. Supposed to be scratch and UV resistant. That had a 20% off code for Labor Day. $50 is a small investment for $1500 lights

You read my mind and I was just starting to look for this. I have had it on several cars and it works great.

Lamin-x came today, it's 112 degrees, I'll try putting it on in the morning.

On another note, as far as the cost/benefit, every time I walk up to the truck I'm happy. I love the transformation. When I'm behind a vehicle I can see the LEDS in I'm happy, it's totally worth it to me before how great the light output is. Add that and it's a grand slam!

I think my Lamin-x is arriving today as well. Should be in the mailbox when I get home.
It’s only 90 today so I might install this evening.

I agree with you on the cost/benefit argument. I love the transformation it has made to my truck. It is awesome. I catch myself looking at my truck through the house windows just to look at my lights.

I banged my head against the Lamin=X/ headlight curves for almost an hour. No go.

Dude! I did the same thing. I was going to message you to see if you had tried the install yet. I was going to tell you to try the driver side first since I failed on my passenger side install.

The film is thick and I could not get it to fit right over the sharp curve in the headlight.

I tried for the better part of an hour too. I tried heat, a little water with out trying to stretch it but no dice.

    Seriously frustrating.

I sought out a licensed installer for Lamin x and they told me to stay away from the precut models and it’s cheaper and easier to it from a roll. I have not got a price quote yet though

Yup, on top of it they want to charge 25% restocking fee. I said hell no. Now I'm arguing about shipping.

Sorry you had a problem too.

    @xrunnerdude67

Hey, current customer currently running option 2. I love it by the way!

I was wondering if there is a way to make a harness where the amber portion stays amber all the time.

I love the amber look plus it will accent the amber eag grill lights and my amber side markers from the tow mirrors.

I don’t think there is a way to keep it amber at all times.

Is he talking about the turn signal staying amber? Sorry I don't mean to come in on a conversation just was curious if that is what he meant ;p

Yeah that’s exactly what I meant. Keeping the amber turn signal portion as an amber DRL all the time and flash when needed.

    Thanks for the reply xrunnerdude

@Jwood562 mine were like that but I do not know how to do it as the body shop that put them in did something differently then in the instructions and they stayed amber all the time and blinked when I did the turn signal. @xrunnerdude67 might know.

I am in the process of trying to find a good deal on one or a Land Cruiser:) They ended up totaling mine this week....sad sad day:( But they gave me what I wanted and then some to go buy something else. I just got an amazing deal on that Sequoia so having to start all over kind of stinks:/

    They are amber DRLs too?

Using xrunnerdude67 harness they are amber parking lights, amber turn signals and flash with the alarm. But when you release the ebrake they turn to white and drive white

I love the headlights and love the harness, I’m just being greedy and wanting more lol

No problem, xrunnerdude67 already said he did not think it was possible.

Oh well, I guess I will live with my white DRL with my cool sequoia headlights. Definition of a first world problem lol

So your inner DRL(turn signal) is always white?

It’s white while driving and turns amber as a turn signal. It works as described.

    yes.

so my harness and lights function as follows (only speaking of the inner LED strip)

    alarm lock and un-lock: amber
    ignition on: amber
    driving: amber
    turn signal indicators: amber
parking lights and headlights turned on via headlight switch: white

the last function is the one I am wondering about, is there a way to keep it amber when the headlights or parking lights are turned on.

Sorry if this has been a confusing question
