I'm coming from a Sienna with a factory installed rack to a Crewmax with no rack. I don't have the option of using a bed rack as I will be hauling a trailer and don't want the canoe sticking out the back. Canoe only weights 50lbs.

I don't see many and it's probably because of height, ,a and maybe looks...but would there be anything wrong with putting a Thule rack on my roof for a 16' Canoe? I'd strap it down as well as secure the back and front with my $2 homemade web system that I had on my Sienna. Not my pic, but same as below.

It looks like it will run about $550 Canadian for the square bars and all parts needed, minus locks. Likely just keep it on during canoe season and store it for the winter.

I'm open to suggestions, help or advise.

    This setup required NO drilling

TRD rear sway bar, console organizer, stubby antenna, LEDs for cabin, cargo, license plate, and reverse lights, power-fold mirrors, Westin nerf bars, full stereo upgrade. Future - color-match grill surround/bulge, mirror caps, handles, plasti-dip badges.
I'd go for it. I ended up going with a Yakima system with one cab-mounted bar and the goal post in the hitch receiver, since I am not towing. I needed it to work with my tonneau cover and I wanted the boats over the bed. It's easy to install and remove, which was another key point for me.

Thats pretty sweet. I am getting two kayaks for me and the wife - is there a two boat option for that set up? I will have the RTT over the bed on a low mount

I have two boats on mine - The green one is a 9.5-foot recreational kayak, and the red one in the foreground is a 13-foot touring kayak. The 9.5 barely fits, only a few inches of overhang fore and aft.

I broke down and bought, just in time for camping season.

If it doesn't rain later and I feel ambitious enough, I'll test fit the Nova Craft PAL on top.

Looking to get the same set-up. Any chance you remember the parts you bought? I’m new to these types of racks and want to make sure I order the correct parts.

Give me a bit ...I'll call it up on my Amazon order history.

We did end up spreading them out a bit more than they recommend. It's super easy on and off with one person once it's all put together and spaced. I can take them off in about a minute. And back on in about 2-3.

Overall, I'm happy with them. I didn't want a full time roof rack, only want it on weekends and when camping etc.

Your best bet is to confirm your make, model, year and see options is Thule.com.

It was cheapest for me on Amazon and it all shipped directly from Thule Store anyways.
