I have had the issue of my passenger side seat unfastening from the bottom. This has occurred many times, before having the dealership to replace to lower seat cover. Yes, they warranty it, but here we are again. No one, big or small has been in the seat seen the replacement. Has anyone experienced this? And if so, what was the manufacturer fix (ie. bracket, seat, clamps)

Could be the seat, not the cover. The upholstery kind of hooks into a groove on the front of the seat (I'm guessing that is where it's coming loose) If that metal ridge is bent, it's not seating properly. Hope this helps. IMG_4810.jpg

Sounds crazy but do you have a pic that shows where the groove is? Mine was never attached but the stealership said that was normal.

I am now Wondering, if the seat is defective. Or, is everyone riding around flapping on the passenger seat like it is suppose to be that way, and toyota have not recalled it yet. I upload pictures later

If you look at the picture left side where you see the cloth. If you look at your cloth you will see a seal that has a groove. You have to fold it over and it will hook onto the metal edge. Hard to explain. I added Katzkins and it took me a couple of tires to get it right. I’ll see if I have some better pics of it.
