I did a billstien level in the front, stock rear and added 295/70/18 nitto ridge grapplers. I went from 14-15mpg to 11-12mpg.
I always find it too hard to compare gas mileage via forums. Even with stock trucks you have to consider many factors that aren't mentioned. For example, 4x2 or 4x4, locations, are you driving the long flat roads in the Midwest or hills of Pa/WV? Also driving style plays a big factor. Do you try to conserve gas by being light on the gas pedal or do you hammer down and try to get from A to B in the fastest time possible? I drive it like I just stole it.
While I would love to get the 22-23mpg some other trucks are getting I went with Toyota because I liked the look, will get better resale, and well it's a Toyota!

Is there an extended valance available for Gen 2 Tundra? My RCSB is about to sit an inch lower with new tires, and I would like to take advantage of the lower stance by adding a larger valance.

My 2wd 5.7 RCSB weighs almost 5000 pounds, that's easily 1000 pounds less that the average Tundra.

That's about where I want the valance on my '07 to be, maybe not quite that low.

I went to visit a friend last night that was moving into his new house. He was borrowing a mutual friends 05 Duramax 2500. He had it leveled, aftermarket wheels and heavy ass BFG AT KO3 285’s (stock is 245), 4” turbo back exhaust, EFILive tuning. He has had it now for a couple of weeks (he traded a 16 Lexus RC350 for the use of the truck) and just can’t get anything better than 13 mpg, empty, towing is a bit less, and asked me what I get in my emission overload 16 DM. He was shocked at the differences a set of tires and leveling kit make to say the least.

I just drove from Charlotte to the east coast and averaged 16.5mpg, on 305/70/17 ridge grapplers. (yeaaaa I know it won’t last long) but it was a nice change over the 13.5-14 I’ve been getting.

*a little mpg hack.....fill your tank up at the highest elevation of where you live, right off the freeway. Then just coast downhill around 60-65mph for about 75-80% of your commute and enjoy the 16’s temporarily

After I fill up, I get up to speed and reset the MPG on the dash at the start of a long downhill coast. Once it reads in the mid 20's I change the display to miles to empty and "wala", good mpg. Outa sight, Outa mind. but serious, Glad gas is around 2.02$ a gallon in the Sandhills.

I lost about 1.0 real mpg if you factor in tire size change. Down into the 15s now after being in the 16s most of the time before.

3/1 toytec with my 33’s bfg’s. I do have a volant intake that might be helping me. My average highway driving to and from Denver is about 23 mpg. From colo springs to Breckenridge and back I get 25mpg average. To and from work is 19-20 as pictured. Amsoil signature series. Volant intake 33’s. stock everything else. My tires are standard load will go to 35’s when these are done.

Wow...that's impressive. On a good road trip I've been averaging 18-20 recently. I guess I'll see how it goes this weekend with the new, back to stock-size tires on there. Commuting to and from work it's been 14-15ish.

Have you measured the actual mileage when you fill up to see if it aligns? 23-25mpg is slightly ridiculous if true!

I have calculated mpgs for gallons used at the pump. It’s spot on +/- .1 I kept track of it for 8 fill ups before I stopped calculating it. I put reg 85 in it. I’ve kept up with my fuel system cleanings. I’m currently at 8k miles on my oil change. Truck is 54k miles. All my other fluids are amsoil (front and rear diff, transmission but transfer case is not amsoil) usually cruise 80 down the interstate around 2k Rpms. And it’s not flat where I’m at in Colorado. Live at 6k feet altitude

The volant intake added quite a bit of power. I’ll try to find the dyno pulls but I gained a lot of mpgs from it. Volant also gives you a 100,000 mile warranty no matter driving conditions. It is NOT a oiled air filter also.

Nice...not gonna lie. I'm a little jealous. I've got what I'd call a light foot overall from years of driving hybrids and making a game of trying to push the mpg up.

Is that 85 non-ethanol as well? The lowest we get here is 87 octane, with 10% ethanol. I guess doing some quick back-of-the-napkin math, that would be a ~5% mpg drop from that alone, plus a little extra from the higher octane, so maybe 10% overall? At 23 mpg, that would drop it to around 19.5ish, which is in-line with what I get on a decent road trip. And a quick internet search tells me mpg increases in higher altitudes...maybe I need to move to CO! I was out there in the Denver area back in May...it's a little nicer than WI :)

I was so happy when I got new springs and a little rake back. My mog went up almost a whole 1mpg! From 12.8 to 13.8. !

    Alot of them
The Volant is the biggest piece of crap ever made. Give it some time, pull the cover, and you will find the filter lying in the bottom of the housing. They have been known to cause a severe increase in fuel consumption and decrease in low end torque.

I really don’t care about MPG’s with my tundra but, when I had my Tacoma stock it got 24 mpg. It dropped to 21 after a 2.5” lift and another 3-4 after adding tires.

Had it since 500 miles with no problems. Never had a filter drop and it’s got over 50k on the same filter and still pushing same mpg’s.

85 is what we have here I think it’s because of the altitude. Pretty sure it’s 10% as well. I have a full tank so I’ll check at the next fill up. I’ll write down miles and then use the next fill up for the math and post it up. I didn’t get miles at the last fill

I like it. I wouldn't want the front valance that low, and I'd like to omit the bolts in the flares, but I LIKE!
