I have a Gator Evo bi-fold hard cover. Compared to a bakflip (owned by a coworker). The materials and hardware are certainly comparable. The only downside that others have said is that cover is either open 1/2 way or needs to be removed to haul large items.
This isn’t an issue for me as my last tundra had a cap on it for 7 years and I own a trailer.
Got it on a Memorial Day flash sale for $500 shipped.

Only a tiny leak on one of the front corners, but a small dab of black silicone from inside and it was sealed.

BAKFlip G2 - easy to install and the drop down brackets for the deck rail seems very stable. So far only minimal water getting into the bed @ the tailgate and not from the cover

Great idea using pipe insulation. That's gonna solve the same problem with my cover. I couldn't get the dang weather strip to stick to the bed liner stuff. Some great ideas to be had here. Thanks,

Very pleased with the Tyger roll back cover I paid Amazon 190$ for. Much better quality than the price would suggest and seems watertight so far. Took 20 mins to fit and looks fine to me.

That is a beautiful truck cover. I have a Bakflip MX4. They are some of the best covers around.

Swapped my truck covers USA American roll cover to an American work cover. Took the better part of a day to do the rail cuts and install but I’m pumped to have a toolbox back

Not the greatest pic but I went with the Undercover SE (unpainted). I had one on the last truck and it served my purposes very well. It is dry, and not too hard to remove if needed.Tundra1.jpg

I can get some more pics soon. The cover goes over the tailgate (overhangs) so you can not open the tailgate when the cover is closed. The cover fits very well and even has some foam (stick on) in the back corners to prevent rubbing.

thanks when you get a chance on photos that would be great I’ve got a double cab and curious what it would look like I’ve seen some of the under covers
I’ve seen some of the undercover covers where they sit past the tailgate like 2+ inches past the tailgate and it doesn’t look good and the tailgate can still open that’s why I was wanting some better looks at it. Yours looks good.
    Thanks

Here are some more pics. I hope they are helpful. Again, I like the cover. It is very durable and keeps things dry. Although on my old truck, after about 8 years, the rubber seal against the cab began to curl and some water was able to trickle in. I didn't bother contacting undercover to get a new rubber gasket because I was getting rid of the old truck. driverside.jpgpassengerside.jpgtailgate.jpgtailgate2.jpgunrcvrse.jpg

@Beesta, What is your review of this cover after some time. Does it close and seal nicely? Any issues with dirt getting in the tracks and making it hard to operate? Pros/cons.
I'm interested in this cover and your thoughts would be appreciated.

I use to have a roll up cover on my Tacoma. Ended up selling it because it would freeze up all the time and make it impossible to open.

Good input. I am in Nor Cal so that situation does not happen a lot where I spend most of my time, but is possible.

Warmer climates and it works great but if I ever went through a car wash the cover would freeze up and I couldn't get it open. The manufacturer suggested a water repellant spray which helped somewhat but I still would have the freeze up issue.

    Thanks,
I have decided on the Peragon over an aluminum roll up. Major selling points that it works great with a lumber rack, I can also mount a bike rack above the bed and have it be operational without removing the bikes. It will be nice to have a little security for the bed as I always have tools and other items back there. Everyone that has one seems to be pretty happy.

    How you liking the lomax?
What finish is that? The matte black or the black eurethane?
You mentioned the deck rail can stay on with this cover, could you still tie something down under the cover or is the cover too close to the top of the cleats?
Can you still move the cleats so you could tie something down on the back 2/3 with the cover in its open 1/3 position by the cab?
PS. Love your truck, we’re almost twins except mine is the SR5 not limited...less for me to de-chrome!

Still love it. Been through a few car washes and heavy rain, no leaks. Matte black finish. Can still tie something down and relocate the cleats as you see fit. Took about 10 seconds to remove it when I had to go pickup my 35s.

And thanks! It's at the shop now getting the last of the chrome replaced!
