Just got my 2010 Pyrite Mica CrewMax Limited 5.7 a couple weeks ago. This is my first Tundra and I’m loving it.

It came with a K&N intake and the Magnaflow exhaust and it sounds great. So far I have polished the headlights, added a TRD shift knob, replaced a rear window seal, replaced the drivers side door check, and given it a good detail. I even stumbled across a matching A.R.E. cap on Craigslist for way too cheap to pass up. I have a backup camera and the Tech12Volts remote starter in the mail. The chrome will be departing over time and I’ll tint the front windows, but otherwise no crazy plans for it.

Welcome from East TN! Sweet looking truck!!!! 2 questions- what head light polish did you use? and How did you replace the driver side door check? If that is what I think it is, I need to on mine.

    Thanks!

    SYLVANIA - Headlight Restoration...

It was a little time consuming, but I’m happy with the results.

    https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem...STLKA)&Location=front-door-panel-glass,,68620

The door check is the part that allows the door to stop at certain positions. Mine was visibly cracked and caused a clicking noise. I read that others have had luck by tightening the 10mm bolts where it attaches to the door to fix the noise.

Installation was simple: remove the door panel, remove the speaker, remove broken door check from door frame then the door and fish it out of the speaker hole. New check goes back in and bolts up perfectly. Just don’t drop the nuts down inside the door. Took me 25 minutes from start to finish.

A HA!!!! So thats another vote for the Sylvania cleaner. I might have to check that out. Also, my door does the same thing but I just don't feel like replacing it yet. I will keep it in mind though. Thanks!
