Are the Toyota TRD PRO coil overs and rear shocks really that good? $2400.00 is a lot of Money to pay for a name. Your thoughts?

So far so good...I got them used with very few miles on them. I think I got a smoking deal actually. I thought about going with Kings but while I was considering these came up for sale. Maybe it's a little bit of brand loyalty but I just like Toyota stuff.

Thanks for the input. Very nice looking truck. Don't think you can go wrong with the Toyota brand no matter what the part is. One more question, are those the PRO rims? Thanks.

Didn't measure before and after but probably close to 3". I put some @coachbuilder shims on the front with the pro suspension and +3 shackles in the back. It's pretty level, with maybe a slight rake, which is what I was going for.

Paint matched the camper shell AND the guy paint matched the mirror caps as well. Chrome bumper is the next to go.

Where did you get the color matched bumper done? Are they caps, or did you paint the chrome?

I bought them off of @Roman. Just bought the caps. The rear is a little more involved from what i understand.

How hard was it to swap out the bumper end caps? I have some headed my way right now.

I was thinking the grille and fenders under the lights would have to come off. Thanks

I don't know if it's completely necessary I did mine all at the same time. There are some plastic tabs that go behind the chrome ends that are different than the clips on the painted ones. If you ordered the painted ends front bumper ends from @Roman then you should have everything you need. Also, I did a little write up on swapping out the rear chrome bumper ends with painted if you're doing that as well.

It's been a while since I have updated this but I did a little upgrade today. BA Muffler and blacked out exhaust tip.

Out with the old, in with the new.

    IMG_9120(1).jpg

I couldn't find a blacked out TRD exhaust tip, or a chrome one, so I bought this one with the Toyota logo on it and painted it with VHT paint. I sanded it down the best I could with 60 grit sand paper to help the paint stick.

    Screen Shot 2017-09-11 at 9.02.46 AM.jpg

I followed the instructions on the can and baked it at 250, 400 then 600 degrees. Bake for 30 minutes, cool for 30 and so on. This was after 6 coats within 1 hour. During the baking process it stunk up the house a little bit so I recommend doing this when your wife or girlfriend is gone. It wasn't smoky just a paint odor. I opened all the windows and turned on some fans and it cleared it out pretty well.

    IMG_9122.jpg
    IMG_9123.jpg
    IMG_9125.jpg

It turned out looking great. I'll figure out how long it will hold up on the chrome.

    Looking good...
