    I have a 2nd Gen Tundra with a non-JBL navigation radio.

My question for those of you using a line output converter, or an amp with speaker level inputs, did you tap into the front speakers or rear speakers for the signal?

I know some vehicles have their rear speakers crossovered high to remove the bass.

Did this ever get solved? Same question, 2nd gen non JBL. Where's the best location to tap into for a LOC ? Do I have to pull the headunit?

There's got to be an easier place to access speaker wires than pulling the headunit. How about the passenger kick panel?

Sorry, I since changed out the head unit for an aftermarket and just added a 5 channel amp

Signal can also be amplified with high level inputs. Not what you want. From what I have read feeding amplified signal to an amp can cause problems. If you have them; RCA s give you what you need.

I have the LC7i and kenwood amp.

I just ran a wire from the LOC "Remote out" to the amp and done!

Speaker level audio has already been amplified once from line level up to speaker level.

Anytime you amplify a signal that much you are already amplifying any noise and distortion in the signal like crazy.
Thoat sound is already in there then before putting it into the converter.

So then just padding that signal down to re-amplify it will never sound as good as just amplifying it once.

If all head units had line level outputs there would be no need for LOC at all.
