How many of you all had your door check go bad on your driver's door? Can't believe they want 70 bucks for them.

Do you mean the little button that presses in and shuts off the lights?

If so I had one break on my 05 tundra. I pulled the switch and connected the two wires and let it be. That one door (rear passenger) wouldn’t turn the light on when opened, only downfall.

I'm assuming this price is from the dealership..... if so this would be another reason why I never buy my parts from them

I think he means the little piece that stops the door from opening any further. Also has a little notch to keep it from shutting on you without giving it a little pull.

I bought some off eBay for 30$. Haven’t installed yet but don’t think I’d pay extra for oem since 3 out of 4 on my tundra pop loudly when opening and 2 out of 4 on my wife’s sequoia do the same...

I replace all 2 of mine two years ago. Easy DIY... I think they were $70 each from McGeorge Toyota

Thank God for eBay I found some going for 24 bucks. Mine is cracked on driver's door and pops everyone the door is opened. The Doorman brand are 70 elsewhere. I might say a prayer for quality if I get the cheapies. Thanks!
