Communications Tech. Last 7 years Ive been installing everything from security systems to network systems all over Alberta and northern Canada. The bread and butter is the jobs we have in the healthcare industry installing, sorry to all the nurses out there, the dreaded call bell systems.
    Everyday is different.

@andy9743 all my pots & pans are Calphalon. Ya'll make the best teflon cookware for use on a induction cook tops. I tried for many years to find good cookware before I was pointed to Calphalon, keep up the good work...

Well hells bells! Guess who needs to get myself a new set of cookware?

I have tried a few different setups with not so great results. I see that Calphalon sets can be purchased at Kohls for like 200-300.00. That is awesome.

Right now I rock a stainless steel set that will meet up with my AR

Funny, I told my wife about this and she was game. We hate our pans so bad. She was perfectly fine with using our current pans as targets.

I don't think I am good enough to hang out on this board anymore after reading what you folks do for a living...

I am a manager for home depot, not a store manager, but that road is open for me if I choose to go that route. 10 years so far.

Before this I was stuck in a factory as a lead/line mechanic in the print/packaging dept, as well as a trainer, also ran pipe, welded, did electrical, drove fork lifts etc. Think about the song about the red plastic cup, ya that place. Did that gig for 24 years.

I am also chief pitmaster at the best little BBQ pit around, AKA my weber smoky mountain and performer LOL...

I don't think I can play here anymore tho...

Don't sell yourself short. I'm a desk jockey and some days I wish I would have the jobs you do. You see the results of your labor; in my case, on any given day it's just how pretty I want a spreadsheet to look.

I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up and I will retire in 8 years.

You: obviously have a nice trucks, have an income and not sucking off the government tit. Be proud of what you do.

However, if you ever want to get into the power generation industry...I can give you some advice.

Me? It's a good job, been at it for 24 years, coming up on 19 years with this company so I must be kinda good at it ;-)
It's just sooo less glamorous than what I've read, I'm in some pretty serious company here.
Short version: I fix slot machines. There's a whole lot more detail to it than that, but that's the gist of it.

    hmmm. interesting...
