Hey guys, I'm in the market for a new Tundra Platinum and was wondering about how much you guys were able to save off msrp when making your purchases. Just so I know about how much I should be asking for, and what's fair so i don't get gypped. I know there's probably so savings on the pros, but any one buy a platinum? Thanks guys!

Yes as mentioned above that link to the other 2020 thread should show at least of few of have purchased 2020 Platinum Tundra's.

Depending on the MSRP amount I would say $5-8K.The higher the MSRP the more you can normally get off in terms total discounted dollars.
The rebate on the 2020 is 1500 in my area. I bought mine about 1500 in back of invoice and got the 1500 rebate making it a total of about $3K in back of invoice.

Would you be willing to share your salesman for a referral? I'd purchase out of state and drive back to AZ for that deal.

    Marty at Landers in Rogers.

I wouldn’t know if they could or would do that same deal again today.

I say that because I did buy mine the last day of August.
Dealers can have manufacture back end incentives based on unit count / sales goals from a manufacture.

The number of unit sales they were setting at the last day of August could have meant they were getting and 1500 back per unit I don’t know.

I am just pretty sure based on the deal I made, there had to be some decent back end money .

Dealers don’t generally loose money to sell a vehicle, especially a fresh unit that had not been on the ground no more then a few days.
That’s why I am pretty sure there had to be some decent back end dealer bonus money transacting for them at the time, or they wouldn’t have made the deal.

They had more 2020s on the lot, they might do the same deal again today. I don’t know .
I do know I have family that lives in that area, and for years they have been getting some really good deals on new vehicles of different brands, it’s a very competitive area when it comes to new vehicle pricing. My 2018 Land Cruiser also came out of that same area, different Toyota dealer 30 min down the road in Fayetteville . It to was a much better deal then I could get locally.

Totally understood. I know how dealers operate, and thank you for sharing.

Luckily I'm in no rush, and you're right. Theres definitely some back end money floating around. My local dealers are already advertising discounts on 2020s and I just seen a PRO 2020 listed for a $3089.00 discount. I must investigate.

I leased my 2020 Platinum, but I got the Cap cost down to $49k from $55k. My truck has a few Gulf State adds like step rails and paint sealant. I had the dealer add the electric tailgate lock.
