I've had a viair 400p for a bit over a year. It's about $175 on Amazon and works pretty well.

I don't trust the gauge on it much, seems to be about 5psi off if I am watching it while running but I use my own gauge to do an "after" check anyway. I don't put it in the bag hot either, i let it cool down a bit before bagging it up.

I like that too...pretty much the only Toyota blues I don't care for are the Voodo Blue and Spectra Blue Mica....both are just too "bright" for me...

I've had a Viair 88p for the last 5 years. It fits perfectly in the storage compartment under the rear seat in my DC.

    https://www.amazon.com/Viair-00088-...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=RM796HJYCT3VKFPX345T

Whatever you end up with skip the power outlet types and go for one that clips to the batter.

I love spectra blue! That truck is gorgeous. I'd be so obnoxious and throw some gold or bronze wheels on it haha

Nooooo! I like being different ;)

I feel like the only way you can go wrong is to buy Icons :rofl:but seriously, they are all great. I have kings on my 4runner and I like them. But everybody I know who has ADS just loves them.

These things are beefy. I'm impressed. Oil changes should be a little easier now.

    Oil pan still backordered.

I'm still jealous that the new ones are two pieces. I have the old version and its one big heavy sonvabeesh to install. I had to pull it when I rebuilt my front end.

Well... the body shops moving quicker than we had thought it would be. Trucks going to be in for primer tomorrow by the looks of it. Need a different tailgate. He found some nasty rot inside the one I got with the bed.

Get some pics tomorrow when I go see them

You can grab the filter from the side pretty easy. The other plate he is waiting on goes under the oil pan and has a nice hole for the plug.

Yes that would be tough. I'm glad they changed it. This thing is heavy enough. I honestly imagine I'll nedd a 2nd set of hands for the transmission skid as it involves drilling. Did you go all the way back to the TCase?

Tcase  I don't have no stinkin tcase!

Mine runs from the front bumper to just past the steering rack. I have a transmission plate from a different manufacturer but haven't installed it yet, the holes don't line up well so I have to find a solution for that.

Today I replaced all 4 6.5" door speakers with Kenwood cheapo's from Crutchfield. The factory speakers still played despite all 4 having cooked the cone surrounds long ago.

Only managed to scratch up or break a couple of trim pieces. The speaker adapters and wire harnesses they included made for quick work. Sounds clearer now. Looking forward to replacing the cheap Kenwood single DIN with an Android Auto double DIN.

Came across an '06 in a blue... It MIGHT be the blue steel of your cap. Can't quite tell which blue.
It's on a Clist ad up near Utica, NY at a dealer. No association, just noticed the color.

I bought one of these. Works good and is pretty fast. I bought a quality 12 volt extension cable so I can reach all 4 tires from the battery.

    • Oil change
    • Installed Fumoto Valve. Good call Chris
    • Greased driveshaft. Side note, I will find a way to grease the 4WD zerks if it's the last thing I do on this earth.
    • Greased upper ball joints
    • Got truck loaded up for camping trip this weekend.
While it is possible to replace the oil filter with the new Skid Row plate, it makes a huge mess. I took the spilled oil and rubbed the frame down.

@FirstGenVol I use either a pie pan on the frame or a plastic bag under the filter. Gotta be kinda quick to unspin and tip it up. On the other plate that you're waiting on I use a short funnel that holds in the hole, that way I get no oil on the plate.
