    title says it all
ever since I installed their remote start, if it becomes dark and my headlights are set to Auto, they will not automatically come on. Have to manually turn them on by turning the stalk.

any I can do or is this something I have to now live with? will be contacting them also

May have to reach out to them. Mine installed without any issues what so ever.

Sorry to hear it. I hate Complications as a result of installing something simple.

Definitely email them. They responded very quickly on a weekend when I asked them a question a while back.

You may want to check the connection to the left of the steering wheel. They call out being very careful with that one as it's easy to bend pins. Maybe take a look and see if that's the case.

I installed a Fortin Evo One and during installation I left the headlights in the "auto" position and had a situation where the headlights were always on whenever the key was turned. I scratched my head for a few days and then finally turned them to "off" and back to "auto" while the truck was running. A long shot but worth a try.

I had this issue with compustar. The remote start and alpine maestro were basically fighting each other for data.

The shop fixed it. They called compustar to get the fix. If you want I can give you the shop number to call and see what the fix was.

    SOLVED

I installed the remote start system about 2 months ago and had just lived with it since I hadn't been driving in the dark it being summer and all. Hadn't even really noticed it wasn't working until I started doing this new weekly commute late at night. As days are getting shorter I figured I should finally figure it out.

12 volt suggested I check all plugs and connectors and make sure they were all seated. That had been my plan as well once I had some time to pull apart all the trim, particularly since I had remembered pulling a plug during install that I thought had been the BCM but wasn't.

First thing I did after pulling all the trim was push just a little bit on that plug. lo and behold, we have auto headlights again.

crazy how it just needed a little pressure to complete contact on probably the one pin that controlled that feature. can't say I even felt the plug move appreciably

I just installed a 12volt solutions kit. It had a section with two wires in the harness and one wire required to be cut to work with autohead lights, it was in the instructions for which to cut. Also the doors are supposed to unlock and then relock when remote started. If they are staying unlocked something it's not right, it is an option in the remote start module to have the door unlock so that it disables the factory alarm then relock so you can unlock with the fob and enter with out the alarm going off, or you can have them stay locked or stay unlocked. I only know this because I bought the adapter to connect the module to a computer and reprogram to stay on longer than 15 minutes.

I will have to contact them. For some reason it stays unlocked even if I hot the lock button. When I do hit the lock button my headlights flash once.

Also, anyone have trouble putting the kicker panel back on? I can't seem to get the top bracket lined up to snap in.

Make sure that the retaining clips are not left behind the kick panel stuck into position. If so, pull them out and attach them to the rear of the plastic kick panel then reinstall.

I will have to check that. The white clips on the frams of the truck are there, I didn't see anything on the panel itself.

I also noticed on the 20 pin connector one of the pins on the factory connector is missing. Not sure if that is suppose to be missing or I broke something.

Make sure that they are line up, I had some issues snapping it down also, had to look where the clip on the plastic was and make sure it was going in correctly.
If there is a wire on the other side of the pin, there should be a pin.

Maybe they changed their kits. Was yours the complete plug and play tpms with a flashlogic/Omega module? I ordered mine black Friday.

you had me real confused for awhile. after some google-fu, lo and behold, there's another 12 volt solutions based in canada, which i think is the one you're talking about.

This thread is about the kit from 12volt.solutions based in Oklahoma.

I ordered from the one in Oklahoma this is the kit I ordered https://www.12volt.solutions/produc...tart-kit-h-key?rq=yr_2019~mk_toyota~md_tundra

My guess is their previous kits looking at pictures in the instructions used the Fortin modules, the new kits used FlashLogic/Omega modules.

I did not cut this wire. I thought with the new kits 12voltsolutions sends this does not require to be cut. My auto headlights work fine as of now.

Well trying to troubleshoot the issue with the remote start I broke one of the clips under the molding to keep it in place. @Roman do you know the part number to this piece and the clips that hold the upper kicker panel?

The no cutting refers to wires on your car, you only have to cut this wire if your directions say to. In their kits that use Fortin modules you don't have to, I just bought my kit black Friday and it used a Omega/Flashlogic module and the directions said which wire in the harness to cut for auto headlights.

I went back through and cut the wire it said to cut "yellow". Doors still stay unlocked while the engine is running unfortunately.
