So I have a 2017 4 wheel drive. SR5 TRD 9F14F6F5-4EA4-4A7A-BF46-345DE959EC28.jpg She is awesome. I drive mostly highway miles and I average 16.8 mpg. That said I was interested to see if this oil would do anything to help out mpg.

So here is some snap shots of the results 53475AA4-197B-4A21-B311-63A70699E573.jpgTodayC90F4856-4BB6-4447-9E67-4A3CBEEBF274.jpg Yesterday FE6F5DD1-5E23-477E-9735-C9095E79901D.jpg Few days agoE45C071D-8118-4F28-8BB1-1ABE8DB692CB.jpg So not much. But the oil was on sale and the mpg is technically better. This experiment of course was driving back and forth to work. With no constant speed so there it is.

Dang..I lived in Drain, Orygun. My older brother still there. I think Drain is around 400 ft. Now....if you lived in Bend, maybe different mpg's. Go Ducks!

Did not work out stayed with the company I am with now, got a promotion I am now head of the department. Still would have liked to move but the wife thought it would be too hard on her and the kids. The other job would have been working with family so it had a good chance of being full filling also could have been a disaster. So who knows.

Life throws out things, maybe it worked out the best for you. Got promoted, kids have the same school, and friends. Not too bad:thumbsup: I love Colorado, but love and miss Orygun.

Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy is the entry level Mobil 1 full synthetic product. The Extended Mileage Mobil 1 would be a better choice; it will cost a little more, but has increased anti-wear additives regardless of change interval.

Improvement in fuel economy from the Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy is strictly due to the low, OEM recommended, viscosity at operating temperature. Mobil's website says that.

Gasoline is incredibly inexpensive. Don't worry about MPG. These are wonderfully great times to be driving a truck with a big robust engine.

Just trim your sail and set a course for Lahaina.

Red Line 75-85 full synthetic in the differentials.

Ravenol 75W in the transfer case.

Toyota WS (World Standard) tranny fluid if you can afford it.

The 7 new-from-the-dealer Toyotas I have had (still have 2) have gotten better mileage after 100,000 miles. My 1997 T100 gets better mileage now, at 262,000 miles, than it did in its first 50K miles.

Your Sequoia (I had a 2002) is young and just now getting ready to get fully broken in.

Wow, that's good to hear. I generally get like 12 mpg around the city in a lot of stop and go. I have done most of the preventative maintenance since buying the car 6k miles ago and it's been a great car so far. Wish it had more pep in it though but I may be expecting too much from a heavy vehicle. Looking forward to see if I can get over 20 mpg if I baby it.
