Washed her up today, nice and clean until it rains again. :annoyed:

Getting ready for some new shoes! Tires are close to bald and I wanted to put the 8 ply BFG AT's from my Taco Pro on the Tundra and buy new (bigger and softer) shoes for the Taco Pro. Problem is I put 17's on the Tundra in 03 so I've been looking for a set of 16's on the cheap. Finally found a set of 2000 4Runner Limited wheels on Craigs List for a steal ($80)...they were very trashy looking, but not beat up. Got them pretty much cleaned up today so maybe new tires next week. Putting 265/75/16 Firestone Destination AT's on the Pro and the 265/70/16 bfg's will go on these wheels. I was missing one center cap but found a full set on ebay for $18 and I already have the matching paint so will have a total of $100 in the rims when I'm done.

Got the new shoes for the Taco Pro this weekend and had the 8 ply BFG AT's that came on the Pro installed on the 4Runner wheels. So tomorrow in the am the Tundra will get some desperately needed new shoes! Really like the look of the one size bigger tires on the Taco Pro, and being P rated they ride way nicer! The Tundra is always pretty close to maxed out weight wise so the 8 plys will be much more civilized on the Tundra. Here is a pic of the Pro with new shoes, I'll post up the Tundra with the new to her 4Runner rims in the next day or so.

Got the Taco's BFG's on the 2000 4Runner Limited Wheels on the Tundra this morning before the rains started. Good thing as the old ones were getting pretty thin!

Wife and I took a trip to KC for our anniversary wednesday-friday. Got home and smelled antifreeze so popped the hood and had antifreeze in random places throughout the engine bay. After some looking around at waterpump and radiator and hoses, couldn't find anything. Had my wife start it and rev it a little and noticed it started coming from the radiator cap. I had noticed throughout my waterpump problems that my overflow tank never went up or down with fluid, so I popped it off and as soon as I took the hose off, it spit out a bunch of black goop looking stuff. Cleaned out the rest of the hose and resevoir and now she don't spit up

Thumbs up for no big problem

    Vinyl wrapped the front bumper!
Bumper had a lot of road rash from previous owner in Arizona. Cleaned it up a bit and I think it turned out great
Changed up the grille and wrapped the mirrors, chrome strip and the bottom of the bumper!20160710_111826.jpg

I learned that you should glue the threads of that bolt that holds the wing window on . Its a point of entry for theft of items inside without triggering the alarm.

Had a emergency yesterday somehow a spark plug came lose and over a period of a week unnoticed. (I thought i finally had lifter clicking from age). On the way home it got real loud and i felt the engine misfiring. The heat escaping the plug hole destroyed the coil and plug . luckly i found a Auto Zone run by snobby women 5 miles away and bought a new one for $75 bucks . I later bought 8 coils on ebay for $68 dollars for all 8.. They range from $125 to $8 dollars new each on ebay.

20160819_180421-1.jpg Today I finished the installation of a used Leer cap I just bought for my "new to me" 2006 DC 2wd.

The cap showed up on Craigslist the day I bought the truck, and was the right color.... So I took that as a sign that it was meant to be. Sure enough, after a few days of trying to get together with the seller, the deal was done.

I found them on Amazon. Sorry it took me so long to answer this. I have not been on here for awhile. Its been a busy summer and I have been on my motorcycle any chance I get so the laptop has been getting neglected. I do like them, at night it does look cool. My buddy liked them so much he bought more after I gave him the last 4 I had that I wasn't using. He has all his the same color.

Ok so I have installed a unichip with the flux2 in car display and have remapped it. Need to get it to the dyno to get tuned in just right. I have installed my jba headers as well. Next on the list is brakes and suspension.

LED lights in all interior & cargo lamps. Compounded the old yellowed headlights for now, deciding whether I want Spyders or try to DIY projectors.
New Rugged bedliner. I really wanted the look of a spray-in liner. But the local shop that sells both actually talked me into plastic!! I use it as a work truck for my rehabs. They said if I spill paint or tile grout on a spray-in, it's difficult to get off.
Still on the agenda: paint correction, plasti-dip chrome grill/bumper and maybe rims too. Find a way to restore the leather seats (searching forum, ideas welcome!).
