    Those shims are thicker than needed so I’d recommend a bit of grease on top of the shims before installing GP. Also, grease up the tightening bolt and the end of the bolt, this will make tightening it down much easier, trust me. It was a pain to get the GP on over the shim. Use a block of wood to beat it on with a hammer, beat straight down and take your time, it’ll go.

    Other helpful hints: some of your current battery terminal connectors (attached to your positive battery terminal) are likely too small for the monster GP bolts to fit thru. Be prepared to drill (or dremmel) them out a bit, I believe a 5/16” bit is what’s needed to make them fit. I expected this to be a simple 30 min mod and it turned into 4 hrs...
