I'm one of the guys that popped fuses and more. I got myLEDs from VLEDS.com. Let's just say, check the wires on the base of your LEDs to make sure they are formed correctly and make sure you didn't bend the socket wires. Both of these conditions may cause a short. Oh yeah, and remember the orientation of the OEM bulb you are taking out. The VLED footwell kit provides 4 LED strips and connections including an adapter to run all footwell strips from the single lamp socket near the parking brake.

Yep, that's why I haven't got one yet. Looking around and saving money. I understand quality and only having to buy something once.

Ok, I need some more ideas on small things I can add or mod. I feel like I'm in a rut and need something to do, ha. Probably do the breather mod next, but what else can you recommend?

No, I've seen where guys have talked about it, but I honestly don't know much about it or how to do it.

paint your engine cover that's pretty easy and doesn't really cost much and you will have a good time doing it

So the pop and lock was pretty easy to install? Need to look it up I guess, sounds complicated.. ha

Engine cover sounds cool, but how to paint it, humm...

No, it's actually way easier than it sounds. 30 mins, 1 hour max. The most difficult part is laying under your truck deciding which way to route the wire. Let me know if you give it a shot, I'll give you a few tips.

So you ran all the wires just under the truck? Everything I read has you go inside, under panels, etc.

You remove tailgate panel and attach the solenoid. Really easy, it's just one bolt and it's on. Then you have to run the wire from the tailgate to the cab. Once you get under the truck, you'll see a wad of wires already going to the cab so you just kind of zip tie it along with those. Then you'll get to the front wheel well area and run it up into the engine bay. You'll see a giant rubber piece there where all the other wires are running into the cab. Just get the wire through there and you're into the cab. Remove a couple of kick panels in the cab and all you have to do is find 2 wires and use the easy splice provided and you're done. Not as complicated as this sounds. Once you start, everything is pretty self explanatory and easy to figure out.

I used these two videos. Neither video showed how to run the line under the truck so I was a little unsure how to do before I started. But once you get there, it's fairly simple.
