4Runner vs Tesla

Smh. Some people just don't deserve to own a vehicle. I'm siding with the Tesla.

Pretty sure it is also illegal in most states, besides just being a douche bag

 

I was just reading about this. From what I understand it seems like the issue is most EV chargers are on private property (commercial lots, buildings, businesses) not city property. Enforcement is convoluted, despite all the VC warnings. Most commercial properties are managed by huge conglomerates. Trying to get a hold of someone who has authority to enforce parking rules on their property and ticket or tow is a nightmare. Maybe any LEO's can weigh in here?

 

I understand if there are chargers at that spot but what if the space is marked EV with NO charging station? At this plaza I go to there are a bunch of EV spots up front but none have chargers. A few times I went lot was full except those EV spaces or park across the street. I think these spaces are more common courtesy or 1st come served basis if anything. If there was a charging station I wouldn't bother parking there but no charger seems fair game (if no other space available). What do you think?

 

I park in EV all the time. So do all the other trucks

 

So this was road rage? yea the 4runner was over and the Tesla driver was a pompass jerk, but "road rage"

 

EVs get preference for the HOV lanes in the big cities... and ya.... some private companies want to incentivize EVs so they give them premium parking. Oh well. It’s private property. You don’t like it, shop or park someplace else... you don’t have a “right” to that space. Anyways, I like to park my 30’, 13MPG, 6500# Tundy as far away from you parking lot snowflakes as I can. The last thing I want is some sandal wearing granola cruncher scratching my paint up with their kale knife or something.

 

This is why we have so many laws in our society. People pull $hit like that, then others get upset and propose new laws. Now some places, there are hefty fines for non-electric cars parking/blocking charging stations.

 

If the parking is posted for ev, handicapped, load and unload only or whatever then thats what it’s for, some people feel the need to impose their will on others.

Park where its appropriate and walk your lazy ass the extra 50 feet (you probably need the exercise)
