Looking at getting my 2015 Toyota Tundra Crew Max V8 5.7 L 4x4 lifted, I believe it has the Bilstein 4600 on it already. I want to go with a 6" lift so I can fit 35's. My question is, which is better.. The Rough Country, Tuff Country or Ready Lift 6".. all are within $100-$200. I a have also noticed a lot of people hyping the ToyTec.. How big of a lift will that give me if I choose to go with one of those?? In addition, I want to keep the 18" Rims that come stock with my truck, what are some good tires that are 35's that will fit my current rim mods? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I noticed that, I also noticed on the Rough Country website the 4.5 are the same price at the 6 in.

Dude you don't need a 6" lift to fit 35's. Browse through this site a bit before you make a purchase!

a 3/1 plus a cab mount chop and your all set, plus a MUCH nicer ride on and off road.

On my truck right now o have a 3/1 and I'm running a 34.5 and I only run on the front inner bumper... I have kings for the front and rear coming in the mail and the cmc... you don't need a 6 inch lift to run 35s... a leveling kit and cmc should be all you need

They might be more expensive but BDS is, IMO, a better lift. You can get 4" of lift and the 34.5" tire like 2011_Limited_tundra said. Plus, you don't have to chop the cross member out of your truck. Also, check out the actual size of the tires you're considering, they're often about 34.5" anyhow. 4" is about the max w/o chopping out your cross member. Maybe it's just me but, I like my member uncut...haha

From what i know the quality of all of those 6" bracket lifts are the same.
They are just components to lower where the front lower control arms sits with spacers for the front coilovers and blocks for the rear suspension.

They will not improve the ride, they just provide the lift.
Depending on the lift it may come with new longer rear shocks.
They require cutting the front frame cross member to fit the new cross-member.

Same. I have a 3/1 Toytec Boss with 34.5" tires and have only trimmed the front plastic and skid plate. Didn't do the cab mount chop.

Toytec offers level kits and 3/1 kits from spacers to full suspension upgrade.
They did add the zone 5" which is made by BDS. No full length coilovers at this time.

Suspension lift with new shocks and coil-overs will give you the best ride.
Adding a drop bracket lift and keeping stock suspension doesn't improve anything, just makes you taller.

    Flux capacitor!
I've had several Lifted Tundras. I had a level kit on my 2010 dc Tundra and it rode great and I just had 33" tires on it. On my 2012 Tundra 4x4 I had a 6" BDS lift. It rode ok but it was always difficult to keep the alignment correct and avoid excessive tire wear. I called BDS directly and they said they have always had problems with the tundra 6" lift causing more tire wear than any of their other truck lifts. As other members noted the BDS 6" lift does require one of the largest cut outs of the front cross member. If you want to pull the lift in the future to replace the stock front cross member is $800! Currently I have a 2017 Tundra that I used a 7" pro comp lift since it requires a lot less cutting of the front cross member. I added fox coilovers and icon Upper Control and coachbuilder components to help the truck handle and drive better. If you want to have a great daily driver and not have a wide turning radius, worse gas and more money then I would avoid the 6" lifts. If you really want the 6" lift I suggest you look into toytec or ekstrom designs (coachbuilder) for their shackle kits for your leaf springs. This made a big difference in the ride IMO. I love my truck but I don't care about the mpg and I wanted a big truck. lol
Best of luck on making a decision.

I have lifted at least 30 - 40 trucks in my lifetime and if done right you will not have any troubles. some vendors sell their lifts with their shocks which are just the run of the mill stuff. some use the factory stuff. If you have someone install the lift that does it all the time, you should have no issues. they know what they are doing to make it right...for the most part. There is a shop near me that does lifts all the time and they have had problems with Pro-comp and BDS lifts. I installed my Rough Country 6" last monday and everything turned out perfect, no cutting of the stock frame.{thats why i used them} Alignment was perfect, it tracks down the road at up to 100 MPH and handles so much better than stock its like a different truck. if you want good gas MPGs stay with the smaller tires and the smaller lifts...Which are great for our trucks if you want that look. I am not bashing pro-comp or BDS just passing on their views with their lifts. I chose Rough Country because they have no complaints with them and is non invasive to the Tundra frame. the biggest thing to make your truck handle better is to lose the stock tires. they are ok for little trucks but not for ours...Rant is over047.jpg

For the RC 6" lift you don't have to cut the cross member to allow the diiff to drop?

6" RC what makes your lift better is to lose the RC strut and shock and install some BDS/FOX 7" 2.5coil overs and FOX 2.0 shocks in the rear so in all fairness YEP I gotta RC LIFT but just wanted to make it ride a little better but you'll need a mounting bracket to swap to coil overs !

I have noticed that mine (RCM) is not cut at all, technically I can get rid of this kit and go with something else, have been thinking of the Ready lift TRD PRO +2 kit but I would need to buy TRD PRO shocks, stock spindles, and the kit. Or go with the RC 4.5" kit I believe I swap spacers blocks n spindles need to look up
