I come to this wonderful forum with a question that I'm struggling to google or find answers on here...

The list below is the build on a 2017 Toyota TRD Pro Tundra, Cement Gray. It boggles my mind that this truck has parking sonar and BSM w/RCTA but the 2020 I have a deposit on does not. small potatoes but the code that caught my curiosity is the title of this thread. Why is the / Would you "Delete Bongiovi Acoustics Digital Power Station" present here?

If you were like me a few minutes ago and did not know what a Bongiovi Acoustics Digital Power Station is...look no further.

    Why would this get removed?

Okay, a year to the day late....just noticed this thread. In August 2018 I bought my Canadian 2015 SR5 TRD with 19,700 miles here in Michigan. It came over from Quebec.
Whatever dude had this before me added some nice options/mods: BakFlip cover, rear slider window and the Bongiovi DPS.
This Bongiovi DPS was new to me, never heard of it...LOVE it. Excellent sound.
I had a Chevy company car years ago that accidentally came with a Bose Silver Series. For automotive acoustics, I would say that this Bongiovi rivals that Bose system.

I've actually run into some issues with the DPS in my Canadian 2016 SR5. Not fully related to the topic of this tread but I'm desperate for answers so I'll still try it on here. In a nutshell: -30 Celsius weather one night, and the next day all my front speakers weren't working anymore. After some unsuccessful trial and error, I took it to Toyota and their electronics specialist said that the cold had done something to the wire coil going from the head unit to...wherever it goes next, the amp I'm guessing. So all he did is unplug the coil from head unit and replug it in a different connector in the back of head stereo unit that bypasses the DPS altogether and...voila, all speakers work. He said it's actually a common problem with the DPS unit that the Toyota Techs run into. But I definitely do notice a decrease in sound quality. Then I get told by Toyota that the wire coil costs something like $300can and is DISCONTINUED!!! On a 2016!!! Anyway, been driving this way ever since. If anyone has any input, I'm all ears.
