It'll be my first trailer and I'll be using it to haul my zero turn and some weed trimmers for a small side business. Looked at a 6x10 and a 6x12 that I liked today.

LED lights, No exposed fasteners, 3/8 ply walls and 3/4 advantech flooring. Side vents, full undercoat with rhino lined tow hitch "section" (pardon my lack of knowledge on the parts lol). Rear ramp door and side door also.

    $3395 on the 6 x 10 - Pace
    $3595 on the 6 x 12 - U.S. Cargo

A little pricey compared to online, but Im the type of guy thats fine with paying a little extra to buy local.

Anything in particular I should be looking for?

Just a few, more to come
    A few things I'd do....
Make sure there are lots of tie down locations. The more the better! If there arent, maybe try and wheel and deal with them to add more?
Does it come with a spare tire(maybe wheel and deal one in as well!)? I personally wouldn't pull a trailer without one, or more spares! I actually have 2 matching spares on my 20ft car trailer, and I've had to use them both before! I personally don't want to deal with either dropping the trailer and leaving it to come back with a new tire, or having to call and wait on a repair guy to change a tire or load my trailer and haul it to a tire shop. Who knows what will happen to your cargo in the mean time!

Look at overall construction of the trailers, are the frames all angle iron(bad), or is there at least C channel frame members(boxed/rectangle tube is best)?
How far back does the tongue tubes tie in(all the way to the axle is ideal)? The farther back the stronger and better supported the tongue is- dont want to see the tongue rip off on a large load!
Lastly, typically longer trailers tow and maneuver a bit better and it can't hurt to have extra room as long as you don't go too large for your space where you're parking etc. If you get into the 12-14ft range, I'd start looking at double axles potentially, they carry the load better and tow smoother than single axle trailers

    Thanks Eric.

The 6x10 was definitely built a bit better (they were two different brands). It was tubular steel frame, 16" of stone guard, EZ lube axles

There is a somewhat local trailer store I have bought from before, I use their site www.trailersuperstore.com as a reference for options because they have a pretty decent selection, but it sounds like you already have the details figured out.
