The video for 18 and 19 show the black box module connections after the 10 button press sequence.

Any luck with yours. James has me check orange wire but my horn is still going off on my 2019 after truck starts.

Just reprogrammed it with and without the connectors, same result. Then I doubled check the spliced wire to see if I screwed that up, but nope, it was connected correctly. Don't have a horn issue, just what I mentioned above.

Come to think about it, that extra orange wire was not called out in the video. I had it, but it's tied into a connector on one side and spliced inline with something else. Didn't think too much about it, figured it was needed for certain models.

Edit: Looking at the schematic, looks like that wire is for the OEM alarm. I bt that's where your problem is, its probably not disarmed, hence the horn.

My 18 also doesnt relock after starting.
One thing i tried is instead of pressing 3 times for the truck to start press 4 times and truck stays locked after starting and alarm isn’t going off.Hope that helps

    Good to know.

I noticed that after I got in, turned the engine off and pulled the key that the door would lock (open or closed). I emailed James, he's looking into that.

Apparently, after inserting the key into the ignition after remotely started and the wheel not telescoping (or drivers seat positioning hasn't adjusted) is an expected result according to James. You have to hit the memory key to get it to work while it's still on. That seems to work and I'm good with that.

My factory alarm was going off when trying to stop the engine through the mycar app. James told me to connect the black/white wire for the key sense, tried that today and it resolved my issue. Both remote start and mycar app functions now work as expected.

I emailed James and as others have stated, he emailed back within 5 mins. It's suppose to relock and he stated he is going to call Fortin tomorrow to ask.
I'm guessing a few people have emailed him about this same issue...

My 19 is relocking after pressing the fob 3 times but if it sits for 10-15 minutes the horn starts going off when it restarts. Like the alert button is being pressed on fob. If I try to turn off engine immediately and remote start it again horn does not go off. It’s only after sitting for a while.

Edit- The horn disarm issue appears to have gone away after I put a new connector on the orange wire tap that James provided. Truck is still unlocked after engine starts so I just won't do it in a parking lot but James is contacting Fortin today.

Trucks with the alarm and glass break sensor need the key sense wire connected . If you truck has this option, connect the wire key sense wire up.

Others have said it isn't needed but something has changed with the evo1 module. James said the same thing to me when I brought it up to him trouble shooting the issue last week.

My 19 does not have an alarm. Just in case I need the key sense wire how can I tel which wire that is? Appreciate the input.

Edit. That is the orange wire that has a tap into it. Mine is already connected and I ohm’ed the wire to make sure the wire tap was not faulty

Alarm is enabled if the truck starts honking after the remote start times out after the 15min limit.

It keeps people from stealing your truck since you have to press the brake to get into gear ;)

I think this is a different module because it does not match the evo1 but think you are onto something with the disarm. I check all the wires with ohm meter and they are good so I am at a loss. Definitely something with the disarm.

Mine is probably different being a 2017. I had to connect the white/black wire from the evo one to the black wire (pin #2) on the lower plug of the bcm.

Same as the picture in post #455.

    no.
I have a 2012 and install was a breeze. maybe try to redo the whole programming phase. You are using the black G key during the install right ?
I connected the battery back then started connected the plugs to the fortin device as described in procedure.
