I have hit a snag in the process of installing Warn Quick Connect cables both front and rear on my 2019 Tundra, with the Power Interrupt solenoid (to control a winch and/or a hitch mounted feeder from inside the cab and/or battery cables). Stumbling block I have hit is the solenoid location.

The red 2 ga cable from Warn is only about 12” long and the only places I can see close enough to mount the solenoid are a vertical metal brace just in front of the battery (to the radiator side of the driver headlight but only somewhat protected from rain/water by the headlight) or on top of the fuse box lid.

Or do I use a longer cable and mount the solenoid somewhere else? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Update, for anyone else thinking about trying a similar installation. I snaked the front Warn quick connect cable, from the front hitch along the front bumper to near the brake cylinder on the side engine compartment wall, and found a temporary 3’ 2 ga. cable (CCA) that should reach there from the battery. The next puzzle piece is going to be figuring out how to mount the connector at the hitch to “quick” connect from the front of the vehicle. I have zip tied it to the hitch bar for now. May use the exposed front edge of the skid plat somehow.
