    Rest In Peace trooper !!

Totally unexceptionable what is happening to are men & women in law enforcement these days !!!

My 22 year old nephew is going into police Academy next month. We are all very PROUD of him but also very worried as to what’s in store for him going forward with his career

Totally Disgusted with what has been going on with the treatment of police officers in this country -the lack of respect is ridiculous !!!

I pray for all who have served and are currently serving

    THANKS for your SERVICE !!

Rest in peace hero. This is just awful. It seems like its almost ever day now. My buddy who is a local detective has been getting death threats, as is his family and children. He has a trooper stationed outside of his home, his parent home and his brothersIt's awful. Its awful....
He shot and killed a man who was wanted for strangulation, was a known gang member, he was stopped for driving a stolen car, got into an altercation with one officer where he actually gained control of the officers side arm, my buddy came upon the scene to find his fellow officer on the ground yelling that the bad guy had his gun, he looked through the car, saw the gun in the bag guys hand, told him drop it of you will get shot, the guy turned towards him and got shot. He says he will never be the same and isn't sure he can return to full duty because of the backlash he has received for shooting this scumbag who was totally prepared to kill one or several of the officers on scene.
The thing that sucks is that they were forced to release his name asap, I don't understand why the officers name has to be out there. What happened to protecting them for retaliation? He is 4 years away from retirement and he is unsure if he can do his job again, not because he was forced to shoot and kill a man, but because of the backlash he has received for doing his job. It's just a shame.
Here's a excerpt from one article. I won'tpost his name or city department here...."*****, who is assigned to the vice, intelligence and narcotics division and the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Taskforce, has been placed on paid administrative leave, state police announced Sunday afternoon. ******has been a ***** police officer for 14 years and has had no sustained citizen complaints and no disciplinary history, according to city police."
