By the windshield. Cable showing is the dash cam not the mic.

Is there anyway they can use the OEM
    mic?

Can’t use stock microphone and small navigation screen between rpm and speedometer. Everything else works.

I answered that for you back in august. Up to channel 400 and yes you can use the OEM rear camera. You can actually set up to have it on at the push on a button or on all the time if you want to

Think I may need to go this route... in my 2019 Limited JBL the damn bluetooth constantly disconnects when I'm on the phone, and then won't reconnect. Will likely bite the bullet on this mod, even though I really don't want a microphone danging from the headliner.

The call clarity with the Alpine and the mic is 100% better than the OEM unit. Are used to have trouble hearing sometimes with the stock unit

dang! ok, well then I'm likely going to do it. I think I'm in for the long haul with this truck, and I've just had enough with the OEM unit. The Alpine looks great too.

What did you do with the stock XM subscription? Can it be transferred over?

last question-- What features did you lose in the process?

You lose the navigation in the middle of the instrument panel and the microphone. The Waze navigation is way better than the OEM navigation. You can watch movies on it via the HDMI cable as well
