It seems plenty flexible to bend there so I'm not sure it'll crack but at the price point it should be spot on. I've also noticed when I was driving with them last night that the light pattern of the drivers side is 8-10 feet lower on the road than the passenger side. I understand it should illuminate the right hand side more than the left, but it's a big difference. I don't have a picture of it but will get one tonight. It's strange because at ~15 feet it looks pretty close to my retrofit beam pattern. Here's the beams at ~15 feet.

These are the actual production lights they have for sale.

How are you planning to adjust? I tried to push that drivers side assembly up a little while tightening the screws down and it didn't help so I'm going to have to figure something out. If I can't fix it I might have to go back to my retrofits, not sure that's something I can handle forever haha.

You need to lower your right beam. The slanted piece of the cutoffs should be level.

Yeah gotta figure out how to do that. I didn't notice if the little slot to manually raise/lower one is there on the new assemblies but I'll have to check it out. Here's hoping it's that easy!

These look amazing! Just curious if they would outperform my oem LED's on my 2019 Platinum............

Shouldn’t the cutoff heights be the same for both lights? The low cutoff for both lights should be the same, just like the high.

The picture makes it look like the high cutoff on the drivers side is level with the low cutoff on the passenger side.

What needs to be done is just an individual lamp height adjustment (or lower) to make the 2 beams even. The "step" you see in the picture is on both headlamps. Essentially "2" steps if you will. On LHD vehicles, it is to light up road signs on the right side (higher) and not blind oncoming traffic on the left (lower). This is the purpose of the "step".

Now...we have to get these 2 beams aligned. I personally also have a slight tilt to my drivers side lamp as well as it being lower like shown in previous pics.

Yeah I knew they should be level across with the step up towards the right, I just need to figure out how to adjust. Do I need to shim the light assembly itself with washers or something? I don't see a way to manually adjust the beam per light with the leveling motors.

One of these on each light. Turn it. I prefer a socket over a screwdriver.

I did get mine leveled out with the adjustment screw on the assembly. I brought the driver's side up to the level of the passenger. Now I gotta wait for it to get dark so I can see what they're like aligned!

Didnt realize there was so many comments on this thread. I just finished reading through them all. First, the lights you have ARE NOT final production lights. TRS received about 50 of them along with other XB Headlights. They made these available only for customers and not DEALERS so that they can have actual real life tests and feedback to send to Morimoto. The final versions are set for release end of September/October depending on the build of the responses of the first 50. For example, there were alot of issues with the 4Runner Headlights which were available at the same time as the Tundras. They are now fixing those issues and I assume the same for Tundra.

As for the group buy, There may or may not be a group buy depending on how many people will participate. These are expensive lights so it wont be like the previous group buys like the fog lights.

Overall, these headlights will be alot brighter than the stock LED lights on the 18+ Tundras. I see some people are just looking at the looks of the headlights but are not thinking about the overall performance increase you will receive. So far Morimoto has the brightest LED headlights on the market and no other company can compare including OEM manufactures.

Honestly Morimoto seems to be taking over the LED market.

And for those that wondered why I havent been on, I have been handling other group buys from other Toyota forums and its been a complete PITA. So im a bit hesitant about offering a group buy for these headlights unless you guys convince me otherwise. Also, TRS don't offer group buys on their XB Headlights.

I think that it’s actually really wise to ask certain customers to try them out before the final release, sounds like they want everything to be just right. Wish all companies operated this way!

I actually helped them test when they were prototyping the silverado headlights. Matt (owner) had a team there checking every measurement possible to ensure a good product from fitment to light output/cutoff. Awesome company and products to show for it. Hopefully they release a 2nd gen set

Yeah it's smart for them to test it but what about people like me who bought them at that high price point thinking these were the final perfect product!? I feel like I should have been told that. Do I get a free gen 2 set when they come out or am I stuck with the issues of a test set?

If I had known these wouldn't be perfect I wouldn't of payed a grand for them.

You said exactly what I was thinking. Were these first buyers told they were going to be the testers? So far, these are the issues I believe have been reported:

    1. Error message on dashboard
    2. Uneven light output
    3. units not properly sealed allowing moisture under wet conditions
    4. tabs not aligning with holes on truck. Some have reported having to bend them to fit.

Anything else? Man, I really want to like these headlights. They look awesome, but at over 1k for the set with the issues, I don't know. Hopefully they fix them soon.

Exactly! I just installed them and the only issue I had was the tab having to be warped some to screw it in. Won't break but shouldn't be that way.
They do look awesome during the day and at night FYI

Well actually I have to adjust the height. They are way too low even when adjusted on the dash all the way up, if they can be leveled enough to right this then I won't mind, but if not...I'll be pissed...royally pissed!

Also something I don't like is I bought their fog lights as well and the temperature of the light is not the same as the headlights. That grinds my gears.

Now I am freaking confused... I didn’t buy mine through TRS, I got them through latemodellighting because they have allowed pre-order since June! So do I even get a chance to get mine replaced with Gen 2 if that is even possible/offered? I damn sure didn’t spend over a grand to get test lights.

I also have the problem with the tabs not lining up and the lights are ridiculously hard to get level. Easy process with the Adjustment screw but doesn’t seem to be right.

Only other thing and maybe it is just me, I do not believe the DRL’s are that bright, I see other vehicles with LED DRL strips and they are noticeably on, whereas mine seems to be dim... Could this be because I did not use the harness, because my truck had the LED DRL’s stock?

Yeah exactly. We might be screwed with the first batch. Who knows

My DRL are not that bright either. I did not have stock led DRL so I didn't need the harness but yeah at night they look bright enough but during the day they are not that bright.

Let me clarify, they are not changing the lights so there's no Gen 1 or gen 2 versions. These are the final product but with any new product there might be bugs to work. Like if you buy a new Playstation and they work out all the issues if any. The people who bought the lights are not "testers". The lights have been tested thoroughly at Morimoto, but we all know real life applications are important as well. With that being said, if those who bought them have issues remember that they have a warranty and TRS will replace any lights with defects and issues. But it's important to contact them immediately if you notice any issues so you can open a claim and get a replacement.

So no one is wasting there $1000+ on the headlights.

    # 4, anyone who attempts to try to fix the lights themselves risk voiding their warranty. It's best to take pictures, videos and contact TRS. They are great at fixing issues and getting warranty items replaced.

Maybe you should go back & re-read your previous post...I'll paste it down here in case you cant find it. btw, you shouldn't be making statements like that.
You're basically saying Morimoto/TRS/Xenon Depot were "fraudulent" because they sold lights that were NOT final production & claimed they were production ready!
