I'm trying to get a feeler, how much are you willing to pay for something like this used? Maybe I would like to upgrade.

    11k
    2018 TRD SPORT
    TRD sport Package,
    SR5 upgrade,
    TRD Sport convenience pkg,
    spray on bed liner

KBB has it for about middle of the road @ 40k

    Thanks.

You could probably get a brand new one for close to $40k. Maybe around $37k?

I'd say that's on the high side for an SR5, but that's just me. :notsure: look on car gurus and true car to see what similar trucks in your area are selling for.

I paid $52,000 (Canadian) Aprox $39,000 American for a brand new 2018 Platinum last September in Calgary Alberta. They had a labour day sale on. Bought it unseen and drove 8hours to pick it up.

Looks extremely clean but I’m shocked at the KBB for an sr5. I just paid 43k for my brand new Limited TRD

It's a trd sport isnt it? not just a an sr5, the sports have quite a few nice features, including colormatched grill and bumpers, hood scoop, bilstein suspension, trd sway bars, I think sunroof and leather options.

This is not just an sr5, it's a sports. Also has radar stuff and parking beepers, trd sway bars etc..

So why are people thinking it's only worth 37k?? Last I searched these were in the high 47-48msrp.

I though Toyota held great values on depreciation. Just a thought, maybe worth what the market would bare.

2020 trucks are hitting the lot now or very soon. Some one has a post that they paid 44k for a platinum so deals are out there to be made especially on all the leftover 2019 trucks

V true. If it was black it would go for 1-2k higher. If MGM it would never sell.

I think you mean that it would sell immediately. Everybody knows that MGM is the fastest color.

I have the same exact truck pictured except it's a 19. No leather no sunroof. Everything else you said is correct though.

    Here's the truth.
KBB and NADA are guides and slow to react to current market conditions.

    Easier way to look at it;
-Assumptions based on MSRP of $45,800.
One can buy that truck new as a 2019 for $37,304 (12% off MSRP plus 3,000 rebate).
11,000 miles worth of miles at 25 cents a mile = 2,750 in depreciation.
-This leaves a retail of about $34,554 if it has zero scratches or defects.
-This leaves a wholesale of about $30,554 if it has zero scratches or defects.

For reference, I just bought a 2018 Platinum @22k miles with quite a few extras for $39.5K

I would consider anything kbb value high.

OP, there is your answer. I'd second checking on CarGurus to reflect actual sale data in your local market rather than anything based off MSRP. After all, the truck is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it and anything else is conjecture.

I purchased a new 2019 TRD Sport DC for less than $37,000 not including taxes and fees. Not sure what the offset is for CM.

idk man! the tax hit, and the higher interest rate doesn't seem worth it for cooled seats and push start.

Bear, tell me where I can go buy a 2019 Sport CM with all the trd, convenience packages for $37k. I'll jump in it again. Cause MSRP is 48-49k fully deck out sport version.
