Rear bumper upgrade? This happened on my Tacoma and I was able to work with insurance to get a Fabfours rear bumper.

Luckily nobody was hurt. Insurance should take care of it since you were rear-ended. Upgrades on the way!:itllbuffout:

Glad everyone is ok. Mine happened last year and insurance took care of it. Make sure body shop look at your towing thing is not bend. Mine was bent and they had to replace a new one.

I'll be getting some bids in the next few days. The other driver was ticketed so I should have no issues with the insurance.

Sorry this happened to you. Definitely sucks but at least you are okay and the damage seems minimal.

Sorry that happened, glad no one was hurt. What was he ticketed for? Tailgating?

I got popped in the same spot last year by a teen busy looking at her phone. Never slowed down. Yours doesn't look quite as bad, and I hope it's not. My 1yo truck at the time suffered frame damage and the bed actually got pushed into the cab. I really should have pressed for diminished value.

Glad you're okay! I hate seeing a tundra in a wreck, but I love seeing the other vehicle's damage compared to the tundra. It's always way worse for the other person.

Yup, Tundra held up better than the Chevy. It was bleeding all over my tailgate unfortunately. Transmission fluid everywhere.

The driver that hit me was an 18 year old girl on her way to work. She was fine but was pretty shaken up. Not sure if she was looking at her phone or not when she hit me.

I haven't had time to look at the frame. Had to get to work for a meeting. Still need to spray off all the transmission fluid off my tailgate at lunch.

Sorry to hear it. I was walking up to my new Tundra when I heard a crunch and looked up to watch an older woman back into my rear bumper. Retired professor in an Accord that was telling her the keyfob battery was low. She said it was distracting. She also was shaken up.

You could look at the bright side and start diligently searching for your aftermarket bumper options. In my situation, I tried (for once) to be an adult about it and realize shit happens.

Added tinting on front of window, both windows on passenger and driver's side, cover on back. Replacing factory wheels next.
Glad everyone is ok, I have my share of people following so close to my bumper too, a lot of times, scared they gonna hit our new truck too.

To lighten the sadness at having a smashed bumper, we were coming back from camping with the trailer and Tacoma and my wife wants Starbucks. We have never stopped at that Starbucks in Golden with the trailer. I protested gently, but was feeling pretty good about my trailering skills.

Getting Starbucks and turning around I managed to get the trailer so jackknifed I dented the shit out the Tacoma's steel bumper with my own hitch. An own goal. I felt sick for a week. Shit happens.

That sucks. Hopefully as others mentioned you can find a way to upgrade the bumper courtesy of the other drivers insurance.

Ah man, that blows. I have people so far up my ass on a daily basis that it makes me a little uneasy.

Trans cooler is right up front on most trucks. You rear end someone, something is gonna leak.

How fast was she going at impact? Looks like <20 mph.

Dash cam with rear view in the works?
