This is where we camped last year (The Cove, near Ocotillo Wells OHV park).

Nope. You’ll be fine. If you’re a little worried, you can avoid feeling pressure or performance anxiety ;) by joining Sam’s group. Both will likely do many of the same routes, but you’ll not have to worry about slowing down the others you’re with, while you test your skills and your truck. Plus it sounds like we’ll have some meet-ups so we’ll all get to hang out. Commit!

Let's pray that I get promoted before then... Then I can afford the fancy shocks, and I will go. I'll keep u posted! Sounds like a good time.

Question... How's the bug situation camping out there. I just came back from the river and got like 30bites WITH OFF BUG SPRAY LATHERED ON ME!

No bug problem (no water to attract ‘em). Also, wind can come up at night, so that deters bugs as well— and your camp mates will appreciate you securing the tethers of your rain fly if you use one. :anonymous:

You also won’t need to replace your shocks for the easy portion of our upcoming Big Bear Run in August (it’s not the rough part you did with us last time :boink: @Fiestee23) or for this one in October. As long as you’re not blasting through whoops at speed, you can enjoy the heck out of everything Sam described they’re thinking of doing. (I’m hoping Kris plans to lead us blasting through whoops! :fingerscrossed:)

Yeah, I’m in a mess at home too; this is my anniversary weekend. And the second year in a row I’m hoping to make the trip.

I hope one year it’ll get modified to a week earlier or later, but that’s the thing with these trips; anyone willing to lead gets to set the dates!

That will be awesome for so many reasons! If you let us know in advance, and if you want to do it, we can put together a dirt run in honor of your presence. :fistbump:

Haha! If you lead, you can avoid the dust cloud. Go ahead and set up a run. I’ll back you up!

@Sunnier I’ll stick to dirt. Is our leader Marty McBugjoon attending? Also, where are we camping?

    Dirt is awesome!

I don’t know yet about @Marty McBugJoon. I’m hoping he can make this weekend in October work to join us. If not, maybe we’ll get him to plan :boink: another easy Shenanigans run of the stand-around-and-take-photos-with-our-trucks kind, to get anyone that’s lurkin’ and hasn’t come out yet to DO IT!

But anyway, I hope you’re planning to join us on this one!!
