It's been a while since I posted or updated on a build thread in any forum, as most of my post were over on TT and IG https://www.instagram.com/white_sherpa/ with all my build updates -Thought I would post a few specs off my build, as I've gotten a ton of PM's.

It’s long past the initial start, but I thought I’d post where it sits now and if anyone had any questions, I’m more than happy to answer them.

The Magnuson Supercharger was a fun install, fairly straightforward, only occurred one issue with a bolt that was incorrect. Total time was about 16hrs for the install

*Update- ARB Dual added to engine compartment, but plumbed to existing tank with air lines
    AC5FECF8-E53A-4948-AC21-696ED0FEF23B.jpg

Here's a write up of the on-board air I'm running. *These are older pictures of the suspension that I was running*

The biggest challenge I had with mounting the on-board air was routing the wires. There are only a few places you can get away with, running the wires in-front of the bed. I was able to patch through the rear lower left inside panel and make it a clean install. All wires are hidden.

The tank was mounted to the right of the gas tank towards the front of the bed. While it did take me a bit to figure out the best location for the 400C (#Viair) compressor, I ended up mounting it to the inside of the chassis/parallel to the rear tire. Compressor fit well and ran the air outlet hose to the right of the bed.

The Viair Compressors is configured through my Swith-Pros module.

Added the @sdhq_offroad chase rack. I opted to run the chase rack with a single configuration at the moment, as I wanted a bit more space if I needed to haul some stuff around and mounted the pro eagle jack along with fuel jug to the modular rack. The added weight helps the rear settle down a bit, and smooths out the ride. I ended up keeping the metal raw and powder coated it clear to protect from rust.

Ended up getting my SC re-mapped locally in Scottsdale, AZ that does custom tuning both on FFV, Non-FFV along with NA Tundra's. They are a reputable shop and partner with Magnuson SC.
I purchased the SC with a Bully Dog tune and was happy for the most part, however after the new ecu flash, it was apparent the BD tune was running the old lady a bit rich and under power. I'm even more happy that the AF mixture were optimized and increased good amount of power both in mid and high curve.

The good thing about the new flash, it's specific to the truck, so whether you have intake, headers, exhaust it can be calibrated for those mods and run optimal. Glad I was able to work with a few local people (Jeff and Ben) that referred me to Dyno Comp in Scottsdale. Richard does great work and very reputable and knowledgeable individual.

    Current Engine Mods:
    Magnuson SC
    Custom Tune- Non/FFV 91 octane
    Custom 3" Exhaust with Headers

    Here are the numbers/Vid:

Great build brother. Can you throw up some pictures of your chase light mounting and how you wired it? I’m trying to figure out the best path to my sPod source block in the engine bay.

    @khens12 Thank you Sir!

I fabed up 2 post brackets and mounted them to the front bedrail stiffeners. I then routed the wires behind the bed and through the drivers side bottom gourmet that goes into the cab. I split off and grounded the black wire in the rear and ran the power wire drivers side along the bottom door seal through the firewall to my switch-Pro.

    Hope this helps

Ended up tearing the front steering rack completely out to replace the bushings with polyurethane. Some have had luck with replacing the bushings without having to take the rack out, I applaud you!

Mine were rusted and there was no way, I could have done it in the truck. Ended up taking the LCA off, dropped the front diff and removed the rack. Took 2 days and about 6 hours total. It was great having @TRON helping with final install of rack and diff and buttoning things up.

My recommendation, if anyone wants to tackle the project, dropping the front diff will save time and it’s the only way of getting it out if you have 4 wheel drive unless you can do it in the truck.

Why are you switching back to the OEM tie rods? Just curious.

@5.7TRDProm - For what I put the truck through I’ve been through 2 sets of heims, not sure the reason they keep failing. Stock at this point is better route for me.

Few changes with the grille. I toyed around with getting rid of the thing because it weights a lot and a bit dated, but I didn’t like the stock look either. So I ended up switching all the lights out to BD, 20” Onx6 and 2 Squadron Pros wide beam. With a bit of fab work I was able to make them fit! Added a rear brace to the Onx to help with weight distribution to keep the load on the cross member support bracket. Also ended up added the FRAC harness and front camera.

Finally got around to adding an external trans cooler from Wholesale Transmissions out of Australia. Great product, easy install and holds just over 1/2 quart. Tied it in to the existing trans lines coming off the internal cooler.

It also fits with the heat exchanger for those with SC, so no issues there. Those running an upper light-bar behind the grille, will not be able to installs the cooler as it will not fit (no room).

So far the temps have avg about 15-20 degrees lower then before.

The only obstacle I had was my BD light bar behind my grille, have about 1/8 room between the cooler and bar

Over the past few days I got around to installing the 65Watt Icom 2300H radio along with running the antenna wire from the bed and external speaker under the drivers seat. Overall the install went well, about 6 hours total. I chose to go with Icom, based off them being made in Japan and good reviews from others I've come across.

The Icom tucked nicely within the console, in general its a good spot for mounting and running the wires underneath the carpet for a clean install. I ended up making a bracket for the antenna and mounted it to the bed rails, using the T Slot brackets. Shout out to John and Beau for the radio help!!!!

Figured I can now use my hand held as spares :)

You need to swap the bulbs out for HID as they come with halogen bulbs. I used Morimoto H9 bulbs for them and they are good output now.
