Hello everyone, I just traded in my 2014 4.6 2WD for a 2019 TRD Sport 4X4. I had a rough country leveling kit on my 2014 and I negotiated a leveling kit on the 2019 as part of my deal. The dealership advised they used Pro Comp Leveling kits. Does anyone have a 2.5” Pro Comp leveling kit? Any thoughts good or bad will be greatly appreciated. Here are a few pics of the new one:

I hate you and your pretty new truck with the LEDs that I want. Congrats ;)

I've only had experience with the Rough Country (2017 Tundra) and Ready Lift (2019 Tundra) - both 4in front/2in rear so far. People give Rough Country and bad rap but I had no issues whatsoever. Again, no serious off-roading tho. The Ready Lift does seem to be better quality but has only been on for a couple weeks. A difference of around $350 between the 2 kits.

I had the Pro Comp Pro Runner SS leveling shocks on my 2011 CM 2wd before. Leveled well, didn't have any issues after a couple years before i traded it, and rode well. I think it had a very slight squeak towards the end when driving over little bumps, but nothing terrible. here is how it sat with them..... The wheels were 20x9 with +20 offset and tires were 33s and 10.8 wide20170819_100510.jpg

Good looking truck! I noticed you went from a 2wd to 4x4. Are you planning on doing any off-roading? Maybe looking into something like Bilstein 5100s or even the 6112s for leveling up front.

Thank you.. Honestly, I probably won’t do much off-roading. It’s more for just in case I get in a tight spot and have to have it

That makes sense. If you’re on road most of the time, there’s no problem with spacers. Every other truck off the local lots here in SoCal have spacers. If the dealer is throwing it in, I’d just go with what they have so it’s covered. If you’re going aftermarket I’d still consider the 5100s for up front. Probably about the same price. Just preference really. Hopefully someone with procomp experience will chime in soon.

When we purchased our vehicle, I spoke with the parts department people, and they informed me that when customers request lift/level kits they either use Pro Comp or Toytec, I decided on Toytec based on their recommendations. I don't think you could go wrong with either kit! Off roading, driving on Jeep trails in the back country, no issues, no noises and ride quality had no change from factory set-up.

Congrats! Truck looks great. I have a pro comp 6" kit and have no issues. I like pro comp. a leveling kit is a leveling kit it's the install and alignment that make a huge difference.

I would make the dealership put in writing that they will perform all recalls regardless of the lift. Toyota is denying warranty and recall work on modified trucks. Including dealership installed lifts.

Dealerships WILL NOT provide anything in writing that they will perform recall repairs for the PCS sensor. If dealers make the recall repairs, the vehicle needs to have the lift mods removed and brought back to them in stock condition. In having a discussion with the dealer on the issues with the PCS sensor, they stated the main problem with the sensor (behind the grill emblem) is the sealing of the unit or lack thereof. One fix is to get access to the sensor and apply sealant to completely seal the unit. They also stated that more problems were reported where vehicles were subjected to very wet conditions (rain, snow, humidity) and even vehicles that were subjected to routine high pressure car washes. I am going to check on the sensor and see if it is possible to reseal the unit. Other than that, living in Arizona (fairly dry and low humidity) and not going through high pressure car washes (hand wash my vehicle), I'm willing to roll the dice and hope this issue does not crop up.

Toyota stated it is up to the dealership. Granted they won’t get reimbursed by Toyota corporate for the work. But most dealerships that preinstall lifts are doing the work.

Not the case with my dealership (not sure what their reasoning is), when one purchases a new vehicle with a lift/level kit, the customer is giver a waiver form to sign stating the customer is liable for any/all subsequent recall repairs, and the dealership is not responsible for recall repairs if the vehicle is not in factory condition. Must be taking a hard ass stance, maybe concerned as to how their dealership is viewed from Toyotas standpoint. In any case an ugly political mess that makes me crazy! Sorry, just need to vent!!
