So glad I don't have to deal with preventing rust here in the south!

I cant believe rust on the exhaust pipe clamps on the dc compared to the single cab that has 22,000 less miles. looks like the bolts are about to rot through on the double cab.

I took your lead and bought a couple cans of fluid film and blasted the under carriage of my truck. I don't deal with salt but it feels good to know it is protected better than most. I'm sure it wasn't as thorough as yours needs to be but I got the majority of it. What a mess LOL! That stuff stinks for a little bit. And the overspray on the side of the truck was fun to get off. (the wind was blowing a tad) I went ahead and grabed a rag and spread it around on the surfaces that you can see from the side, just because it's a little bit globby.

So far I like it. Been driving 3 days in the rain all still there. Yes it is a little tough to get off if you get over spray on areas you don't want it. I hope you like it 15wtrd. I hope it protects the bolts under there for future work. Didn't mind getting it on the rocker panel to help protect that area for the winter . let us know what you think.

It has been about a year ,. Well 10 months and it is still holding up.works great,. No further rusting and stop the rust that was there from spreading. Going to reapply this year seeing how I still have a gallon left and I live in north east

To answer your question...you need to define 'detailing'.....for me, that is a full blown, interior and exterior cleansing...including decontamination, clay, compound (if needed), polish seal and wax. Typically takes me about 6-8 hours to do, and the truck gets this treatment twice a year. In between, maintenance washes/interior cleaning occur every two weeks.
