Yesterday afternoon I stopped by a little hole-in-the-wall place that sells used and consignment tools. They have a bucket full of sockets so I started rummaging. The skies parted and a light shone down and there it was... the rarest of unicorns... a Craftsman 3/8 drive 10MM mid length socket! One paper dollar later I now have it caged in my toolbox at home.20190815_222122.jpg

I have a 10mm craftsman nut driver that I found in one of my grandpas tool boxes when we were cleaning up his shop after he passed away. I slid that baby into my back pocket and it lives in the top drawer of my toolbox, all by itself so other tools can't mess with it and make it disappear. It's been there just over 8 years now and gets used almost weekly. As for 10mm sockets,....I buy myself 2 new ones every year for xmas, long and standard. Santa knows what I need in my stocking

:bowdown::bowdown: I worship the midlength sockets. They are without equal.

They truely are a life saver, I have them in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2. Makes life much more manageable

Snap on extra shallow sockets are also a wonderful thing everyone should have

I’m rather fond of 1/4” drive 10mm sockets. But both 1/4” and 3/8 are very desirable!

Looks like I might have to pick up a set of mid-length standards and metrics. Amazon has GearWrench sets for a decent price.

Clearly it is a "guy thing" with these 10mm sockets! That's ok, carry on!
