Katzkin interior

I just picked up my truck from the shop that installed a katzkin kit... but i have a feeling that he did it installed a real katzkin kit... it might be some Chinese stuff.. any ideas how can I spot the difference?

 

What makes you think it is not the real deal?
There are several graded or katzkin materials. What did you buy? Pay?

 

it has the katzkin tag. haven't seen any fakes out there

 

I ordered ink Tuscany leather with contrast pearl stitching... for only 1200 when other shops quoted me 1500-1600

 

If you made the order through the Katzkin.com 'choose a design' and 'find a retailer' for install walk through then your seats would have been direct order from Katzkin. Call them up and ask, if nothing else for a piece of mind.

Looks legit to me.

Some places just get better prices on certain parts.

Hell, I once sold a set of rims to my customer for less than my cost. Why? Price match guarantee. They were Forgestar wheels for a viper. Better to have the customers $2200 in my till than my competitors till.

and DIY the install - need special tools ???

 

Yes alot of ppl DIY these watch YouTube videos to see if it's something you can handle then order kit off ebay they start around 500 for the kit that's were I got mine

Ha glad I could help. Cant lie tho I didnt do mine myself I thought I was going to but then I was getting other things done in my interior n asked my guy how much and he gave me a really good deal. Plus it looked difficult lol

The kit I ordered was from the seller touchups or touchupsautomotive from Ebay. I brought it to the shop to have installed and I had the same are they real questions and he assured me they are showed me how to tell the difference in vinyl and real leather and how much of the kit I ordered was real leather and how certain parts were vinyl. Hes also a dealer and installer of katskinz.I was happy with the product for sure. I dont have pictures of it being installed no but I have after pictures on my build.. or if you want any pictures that I haven't posted there just let me no

 

That looks awesome! Almost makes me want to order a new set of skins with a color similar to the 1794 leather.
Would make my truck look brand new again!
