When we plugged in our trailer the computer said "no trailer". This was a confounding problem that was solved. We took the truck and trailer to the dealer and these are those notes on our invoice.

The Technician found a TSB for the brake controller intermittenly displaying a trailer disconnected message. There is a software update for this condition. After this was done without the trailer in tow the problem persisted and not solved. Was told to reference code EL1904.

Returned with the trailer to the dealer. They connected another Tundra to the trailer and connected right away. Tech swapped brake controller and rear connector as well as trailer ECU and still had error message.

Inspected wiring and found the brake control wire junction in RF kick panel was not connected. Reconnected wire and RE tested vehicle connects to trailer. Case closed - SOLVED! Thank you Capitol Toyota San Jose, Ca. No fee charged.
