So these arent officially available on Bud Built website because they don't think there's a market for them. I had 1/4 aluminum skids, but if you're going to actually beat these trucks on rocks and dump the full weight onto the skids, the aluminum will end up warping (if anybody wants to buy my old skids, hit me up. They're still in good enough shape to protect your truck and you can save a bunch of money).

I could have just bought the regular 1/4" steel skids, but when I did the math on material strength, I still felt that they weren't strong enough. So I talked with Bud Built and they mocked up a set of these from a Tundra that they had at their shop:

1/4" steel with custom ribs. These have been mocked up to clear components on a stock truck. There isn't much room above the engine plate, so they went with a flat reinforcement plate. Also, I elected not to have the oil drain hole cut as I take the whole skid off when doing fluid changes so I can inspect the frame and underside.

If you're interested call Bud and tell them that Alex, aka OsidePunker, with the black long travel tundra, told you about these. Let me know if you guys have any questions.

Do it! I've already beat on them and they much stronger than what I had before. They're heavier for sure, but the weight penalty is worth it
