I’ll get it started with today’s upgrade.

Today I put a second weather strip around my slide out. I used one continuous 1” ‘D’ shaped weather strip. I had to re-adjust the slide angle to put enough of a pinch on the top seal. I’m very happy with this $63 upgrade that will keep me dry :)

@2ndgenny, Is that a camplite? You don't see the thermo-pane windows on many trailers. I just added a maxxair fan before my last trip. Worth every penny!!!

Hey there. It is an Edge by Heartland. These style windows are very rare in North America from what I can find. We love them. Open the awning style windows when it’s pouring rain- no problem! And they have a blackout shade inside as well. You can see the foil film on them here.

Scratched it. Backing it into its usual spot at my house after camping at Mt. Evans. Dead limbs I didn't clear. Pretty bad scratches, but I'm trying to let it go.

@sbxx312 try a very light polishing compound... They don't put much paint on the panels, so don't get too aggressive. If it is fiberglass then you can get a little tougher. Buff out what you can then go to a high quality sealer/wax and polish what you can. I took some light scratches out of mine. They are still there in the right light and angle but way better than before.

Do those foil window shades work well? Are they the type for car windshields or something else?

I'm always looking for insulation ideas lol

I’m not sure on price, but I want to wrap mine too. I’m just gunna get the decals color matched. Have to paint my truck first though. Probably next year for decals.

I finally finished installing my sway hitch. When I first installed the hitch last year, I just turned the propane cover backwards to clear the frame rail brackets. I cut relief notches for them now. Looks much better.

Got my sway bar all set up, and got a new optima battery that is much larger than my previous.
No stores around me sold battery boxes for my new D31 battery and I was on a time crunch so I got two standard boxes, cut them and made one big one haha.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it's a 2003 Airstream and the scratch is deep enough to have created a crease. If I ever polish it, I'll deal with it then.

Installed the Camco screen door crossbar handle and Camco screen door closure spring. Good and cheap upgrades.

I would guess about $3k-$5k to wrap it. Your trailer is about the size of my work box trucks. You could explore another option and spray Plastidip to match the paint. It would be far less money. I’m guessing about $600 to get what you needed done. There’s lots of good videos on YouTube instructing how to get it done. Either way if you get it done please post pics!

Started the roof repair on my pup up. Crappy Fylon roof material. Plan is to replace foam and add a layer of plywood over it, then probably use bedliner as a finish.

RE @TrooperDC4x4 ... If you have a menards near by, they carry white commercial rubber roofing. Sometimes you have to order it. Other commercial roofing places will have it too. I rebuilt my Jayco with it. It is hands down the toughest roof I could find. Also there is a website called the Rot Doctor... They sell CPES. Clear Penetrating Epoxy System... This stuff is AMAZING for plywood. I have restored wooden boats for years and have used it with perfect results... It turns regular plywood into a rot proof product....
