Was thinking if doing a full wash but it's too damn windy and I didn't wanna get soaked. So I tried out my ech2o waterless wash for the 1st time. I have to say I'm impressed. Took under an hour and was very easy. Truck looks great too. Still need a quick final buff diwn but I'm very impressed.

Final buff took a while, like I said it's windy today. Overspray comes off very easily though. Tailgate before and after. Not too bad for not using water.

Definetly need quite a few MF towels to do this. I went through 8 total. I used 3 for the initial wipe turning to a clean area each pass, 3 for the second spray wipe again folding and turning, Then 2 more to buff after.
Here's what it looks like after a single horizontal wipe across the tailgate on the initial heavy spray.

I got the big jug too. It'll be great over the winter for me. And I can dilute it way down for using as drying agent and detailer this summer. Cool product.

How much did the jug cost ya? I've got a bottle of the Hydro2 sealant but haven't used it yet.

I believe I paid about $25 for the 1 liter bottle. You can try Amazon but also check out detailedimage . Com they are always having discounts and deals and are really good to work with.

The hydro2 is pretty amazing too. I used it a month or so ago. Make sure your truck is cool, not in the sun at all or even recently in the sun. Dilute it to between 5 and 10 to 1. Closer to 10 I believe will yield better results. I did 6:1 And plan to try 7.5:1 next time.

Hey Steve thanks! This sounds even easier and I can see it working even better. You're a wise man and so helpful. This will be my next wash. I hope warm water is ok. It'll probably be 20 or 30 degrees out next time I wash

Yeah I will likely do the next several washes in my garage. I really like the idea of only having to spray the truck down once like you described above.

So Steve, let's say I do get a reasonably warm day here soon. Can I do the ech20 wash again then bust out the hose and do the hydro2? Or should I be doing a hand wash before hydro2?
And by reasonably warm I mean over 50 and no wind. I despise using a hose when it's cold out.

Washed today again. It was 45 degrees but hose is frozen. Went to the ech2o with a bucket as explained above by @SouthBoundSteve and it came out pretty damn good again. I'm impressed. 20171219_132101.jpg

Thanks Steve. I pulled the hose into the basement to thaw, which i have done every other year until now, so the next warm-ish day i can hose it off too and put on some Hydro2 after i wash it.
I went through a ton of MF towels doing this today but it really is worth it. Ill wash them and theyll be ready for the next wash. This is so easy and pretty quick too.

Just wanted to bump this thread for some recognition for ech2o. This stuff really is great, I use it as a clay lube, detail spray, rinseless wash, waterless wash, and mixed with reload for a nice detail spray sealant.
The ech2o has some sio2 in it so it always leaves behind a great shine and some protection as well. This continues to be my go to detailing spray. Used it today as I was drying off my truck after a quick wash with reset, it's so nice and shiny now.

    Thoughts VS ONR? VS Wolfgang?

Looking for a good rinseless as washing with no cover in FL in the summer is stupid hard.

I havent used Wolfgang rinsless but I really think ech2o is the way to go for you. The added sio2 adds protection and gloss every time. I use it in some way every single time I was a car. It's very good stuff.

ONR is somewhat easier to use than Ech20. Since Ech20 leaves protection behind, it’s prone to streaking, especially in higher temperatures. It does leave a nicer finish and more gloss, you just have to be more mindful when using it. I alternate between the two, using Ech20 when it’s cooler outside.

I did try the Wolfgang a couple of years ago, but I don’t remember how well it did. I ended up giving it away, so I must not have liked it a whole lot.

This is the biggest reason I love this stuff too. It's so versatile, and I love my elixir mix, I use that very often for touch ups. But also use a few ounces in a bucket for a great rinseless (thank you Steve for that recipe). Getting great shine and protection from a detail spray is really nice and saves steps.

I tried the ech2o out today. I sprayed the panel and also used a bucket with ech2o. Went through about 8 towels but I must say I'm impressed. Once clean I put a coat of shine supply signature shine wax paste on top. Looks pretty amazing. Also used the remaining ech2o in the bucket to knock out the wheel wells, tires, and wheels. Applied shine supply decked out to the tires and wheel wells. Then a few sprays of left over Adam's detail spray on the wheels. Took a few hours altogether but with the temps in the 20's I thought I would try it.
