I have a 2002 Toyota Tundra, with no heat coming from my vents. My AC works just fine. I have done this. Toped off coolant, Burped cooling system, Replaced thermostat, flushed heating coil, forward and backward, checked hot water valve, on firewall. it opens and closes as it should. Truck runs between cool and hot when I drive it. It does not over heat. When I flushed the heating coil it was clear. Hot water goes in and out of the heating coil. Could it be bypassing the main part of the heating coil, if the coil is blocked. I could use some advice on what to check next. Thanks

I took my 02 tundra to a mechanic, after I exhausted every thing I knew to solve my problem, and he thinks I have a blender door problem. He said to bring it back in a couple of days and he will check it out.

Did you mess with anything near the blower motor? Earlier this year I was screwing around with mine and didn't put that cable back in place correctly which caused me to lose heat.

Here is that cable, under glove box.Capture _2019-04-17-13-12-03.jpg

I took the glove compartment out, just to see what was behind or above it. I did not take any thing loose, or mess with anything. I will look at it again. Thanks for the pic. I have a strained back muscle, so I'm very limited on what I can do under the dash right now. I will check it out before I take it to a mechanic. Thanks again.

I went out to my Tundra and looked at what you showed me in the picture you sent. My cable wasn't in the bracket that holds it into place. I fixed it, warmed my truck up, and now I have great heat. I have spent a week trying to figure this out. You and this Tundra site has saved me a lot of money. It's people like you that makes a difference in this world. Thank you and I won't to thank this Tundra site for allowing me to be a member.

Awesome! I'm glad that worked. I was just as stumped as you when my heat quit working. I'm really not even clear what that cable does and really only got lucky when I figured out that's what caused my lack of heat. Come on over to the 1st gen section if you ever need more help. You'll get more responses over there.

Thanks. all I have to do now is make sure my cable is seated properly, so it won't come loose again. I hope this helps other folks on here, who have the same problem. It saved me a lot of money.
