Red_Leg do you have spacers or anything plus the falcons? Looks like it lifted a couple inches all the way around?

I am running Dakar springs in the back with Coach Builder +1 shackles. The Falcon shocks compressed and extended lengths are the same as the OME shocks.

I will try and do a write up on my full setup this weekend.

I have noticed a tendency for the rear end to buck. Overall I am very happy with my setup.

    Edit: @Red_Leg

Hey Will, can you elaborate on what kind of situations will cause the rear to buck, and which clicker setting are you using on the rear? I'm thinking about getting a set of these but will retain the OE rear leafs for the time being.

    Thanks

The bucking is minor and only when crossing sever bumps at high speeds. I am on the softest setting.

My truck has 120k on factory shocks and I’m looking to upgrade and level. My question is do you think I can reuse the OE spring or should I look at replacing the springs as well due to the age?

Great question, would be nice if you can use OE springs...

I think they are designed to use factory spring.
    @Taco-Bender any updates?

Yeah, I'll be installing them myself.

When I was researching these I emailed their tech support a couple of months ago asking if I could use the longer Eibach springs so I could keep the perch on the lowest setting and still get level. They replied saying they had not tested with those springs and could not guarantee there wouldn't be any clearance issues so, they recommend not doing that.

They said they are designed for, and tested, using OE springs and they recommend using OE springs only.

No real updates. A guy I met Friday gave me this set of shocks from his '19 Tundra. 2k miles on them. Couldn't believe it. Just said he didn't want them in his garage and handed them over. Super nice guy and my lucky day.

I hope to pull them apart this week to get the springs in for some red powder coat.

    IMG_20190712_172212444.jpg

Heading to Ohio in a couple of weeks to pick up a boat we just bought so, at the very least, I'll get the rears mounted up before then.

Edit: Oh, I ordered a Coach builder shim for the driver side so I have to wait for that too.

Got them from @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc. Ask for the forum discount, which isn't a whole lot but, it's something.

Yeah, can't wait to get them on and see what kind of difference they make. Lately I've been hitting a series of speed bumps by my house a little faster than I normally do and really paying attention to what the truck feels like. Should be interesting to do the same speed with the Falcons installed.

Dirt washboard is what I really am looking forward to seeing though. My yellow Bilstein's did ok if you got going pretty good but you certainly didn't want to hit a rut while doing so. Slower speeds they sucked.

Then there's the tow/haul function on these. Unfortunately I won't have a baseline to compare to when we bring the new boat home. We knew we were eventually getting this bigger boat so the compression adjustment out back played a part in my decision to go with the Falcons.

I think they'll be a good compromise between an all out off-road racing shock and an upgrade to something like 5100's.

Plus, they have a 3 year warranty. What other shock company warrants their product for 3 years?

Lol... I think I've seen every video on YouTube regarding these shocks.

This is the one that eventually got me to pull the trigger.

Now a whole lot to share just yet. The following text is to another member who pm'd me about an update.

    "Hi Rich,
Still have to assemble the fronts and install them.

Having said that, we're just wrapping up a 4k mile trip to Ohio and back with the rears on (I got the ones with the clickers). On the way out I I had my bed in the back along with camping gear, probably around 400 lbs including the camper shell. I ran them on the softest setting and the ride is just awesome. Way more planted and a lot less bouncey.

For the trip home pulling the new to us boat, I have them set on the firmest (tow/haul) and again, they are just awesome. You can really tell the difference between the settings when you have a load back there. On tow/haul with the boat back there, about 4400 lbs all in, it's just a rock solid, stable, comfortable ride. Nod what so ever. You can really feel it when hitting those crappy parts of the interstate. They just suck that crap right up.

Can't wait to get the fronts on. Part of the reason for holding off was not knowing what lift setting to use because of the boat. I'm thinking the middle setting will keep me from sitting to nose high while towing."

One thing I'll add, the rears are VERY impressive compared to the OE yellow Bilstein's. There's just no comparison, the Falcons are silky smooth, and took some hits on this trip, that would have completely unsettled the arse end. So far, I like them, A LOT.

I have no reason to doubt the fronts will be just as impressive once I get them mounted.

@Taco-Bender thanks for the update on the rears. It sounds like a very good setup for towing.

Wondering if either of you have any impressions to share yet? Have you installed your Falcons?

I'm seriously considering them myself and haven't seen much feedback yet as they are so new to the Tundra. Thanks for being the pioneers.

Nothing more than what I posted on Saturday.

Is soon as I get the fronts mounted up and get some miles on them, I'll post up again.

It's going to be awhile though, I have a lot on my plate at the moment.

The Falcons have been great so far. I pulled a 6,000# trailer this week with them on the 2nd setting. The ride was still really smooth. These shocks are far above better then factory or OME.

Any further input? I’m looking at Bilstein 6112’s and 5100’s or 5160’s for the rear vs these. If I go “all out” on the Billy’s then I’m around $1100, and that’s with new front coils. If I go with Falcon I have $1500 plus buying some new OE coils. Mine have 140k on them, so they have probably lost a little spring action

Now picking up my tundra tomorrow and might have to decide between the falcons and blisteins. This could get expensive

Hello, I bought the Falcon's tow package and just received them. Front is very similar to the number two in the rear. Number one setting in rear is very soft and three is very very stiff when compressing by hand.
