I ran the wire up through the dash hole that my steering wheel comes through and mouted it with velcro on top of the steering column. Easy Peasy. Its right in front of my gauges but doesnt interfere with them

I have mine mounted on the windshield down low to the left. Found a really nice suction mount at Oreillys Auto. Very secure and it doesn't obscure my view. I'll post a pic tomorrow. I like the idea of the mirror mount, I just worry it would be distracting. Don't like things blocking my field of view through the front.
