    Hey Y'all!
Just wanted to say hi and finally introduce myself. I've been lurking occasionally since I bought my Tundra almost 2 years ago.

I'm Stephen (pronounced Steven). 29yo and an Assistant Manager for Discount Tire Co.

    My Tundra is a 2012 SR5 CM Texas Edition 5.7L 2WD.
I bought it in October of 2017 with 84K miles on it.
I needed a new vehicle due to adding a 3rd family member. I only had my single cab Tacoma that was plenty reliable but lacked creature comforts like AC...
The truck already had Katzkin leather all around and a nice Pioneer head unit so that was definitely a plus.

Since I bought it I've touched up a few things.
Removed the running boards and the Texas Ed. billet grille. Swapped the chrome wheels for some Vision wheels I got from work. Added a Tekonsha P3 trailer brake.
Blacked out the westin bull bar and front grille.
Flushed the transmission and replaced the filter in it. Replaced rear diff fluid. Replaced spark plugs. Replaced coolant and Power steering fluid.
Pretty much caught up on most of the maintenance that I couldn't verify wether or not it had been done through the trucks life.

Most recently I decided to replace the front shocks. Well, I don't really like stock stuff so I got the Eibach Sport Pro leveling shocks from Toytec.
My goals with the adding these shocks was to lift the front and still have some rake from the back. Well now the truck is perfectly level and actually looks kind of nose high.
When my wallet recovers I plan on an AAL and the Eibach shocks for the back.

Anyway.. if you read this far here are some pics.

So another FNG from a little north of you in Dallas. I'm looking at changing the transmission fluid and I guess I should consider the rear diff as well. 2011 w/ 143k. My daughter will be using it to tow her horse around, so I need to make sure the drive line is in good shape.

How difficult was it to change the transmission fluid? I'm fine changing oil, but for some reason I get nervous around other fluids.

    Difficult? No.
    Painstaking? Yes.

From what I've read Toyota claims the transmission fluid is a lifetime fluid and does not need to be serviced. Screw that.
The cost of the filter and 12 quarts of fluid was under $120.

If you know your way around a set of sockets you can knock it out in half a day.

Hey Scuba, glad to see you're still alive and well. Congrats on the purchase. I remember when you first got your Tacoma back on YotaTech and/or TTORA.
