I had a female Springer Spaniel that chewed up thousands of dollars worth of stuff. She passed a few years ago after 15 years of destruction. We loved her, but man she could raise my blood pressure. One day she was left unattended in the house for less than an hour - she got my wallet and brand new sunglasses off the kitchen counter. The sunglasses and wallet were totally destroyed as were all the contents. I found small scraps of what used to be $300 in cash all over the house, as well as my driver's license and all my cards... Then I walked into the living room and found that she had chewed a 1 ft square hole right in the middle of the wall. She was also a master of destroying shoes and had quite the obsession with Romeos in particular.

Just got a pug puppy this week and hes trying to chew everything he can. I think he got so used to being near my feet that now he will carry my sandals around but he won't chew them. It's a start.

Yesterday I was taking him outside to poop. He grabbed my right sandal before I could get it on. Off he went.

After 30 seconds of prancing around he brought it back and dropped it.

Was going pretty good with a great perineese, 2 Chihuahuas, and a tea cup yorkie. Decided to get me a yellow lab since i lost my last one to cancer a year earlier. Well guess who's yorkie taught a pure breed, well behaved lab puppy to chew thru every spindle on every wooden chair in the house. Not gonna replace anything till she's over 18 months old ( puppy stage for a lab)

I bought a 1989 JP Cherokee Laredo in 2006. $2K. In line 6. Great condition. Interior was great! Two weeks later I went to my local pound and rescued my now passed Husky.....Halle. 6 months old. A week after I saved her, I stopped to pick up a prescription at Walgreens. I was only inside 15 minutes tops. Winter. When I came out, she had pretty much chewed 2/3rds of the dash off. Plastic and underlying dash foam everywhere......wtf??? Fortunately I was able to go to a salvage yard and get a dash for $40. Don't ask about all the wooden window sills she chewed off or the time she jumped up underneath my glass dining table and shattered it into tiny glass bits. Miss her a lot. Been almost one year since I buried her. Visited her gravesite for the first time last Saturday up in the mountains where I laid her to rest last July... Still sucks...

An ex coworker moved out here in 2004 just before I got out here. He brought a Rot pup with him from Oregon. Pup's name was McKenzie. He left her in his bathroom when he went to work for the FIRST day..... She had water, food, and.......no....place....to.....pee....in her dog's mind...
When he got home from work, McKenzie had chewed a large hole through the bathroom drywall and even another larger hole through the drywall into the master bedroom where she squeezed through and finally peed on the new carpet......heh...heh.. deposit used up on day 1... ..heh...heh...

Our dog has chewed some interesting things: electrical cords when he was a puppy, dish towels or my wife's shoes or anything else he can find when he's upset that I've gone to work. One time he chewed my wife's parents' deck. Not the edge. He literally started gnawing the middle of one of the boards. I wish I'd taken a picture because it was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. Now he mostly just shreds his toys or chews pieces off them.

He's more into swallowing things he shouldn't like socks and one time a rock. Also the end of a joint he either found on a walk or that blew into my wife's parents' yard from their greasy neighbours'. That was an interesting weekend.

My Lab used to do this but would dive head first into the corner of the couch and stop, head upsidedown, butt in the air justa waggin' her tail. She never was destructive. The two we have now are too old to worry about destruction as long as they have a good pillow to sleep the day on.
