Serious question here and I need some help.

I got quoted 1400 + tax on Bilstein 5100 w/OME springs for an install or I could get ICON Stage 2 suspension for 1900 + tax and ill just put them on myself. what do you recommend. If I were to do ICON id wait a month or so before making this move

    Thanks!!

ICON. For 5100s that is a massive ripoff IMO. I paid less than that for 6112/5160
    Installed.

    I like Icon over billies.

Are the icons adjustable? If so, I much prefer the thread adjustable shocks over clip adjustable.

Yes they are adjustable 0-3 in. Lift on them and come with a leaf spring

yeah my pops would help me on it too. we re did the entire front end and rear end on his 60 ranchero. I think it would be the same concept. lol if not I know where I can have it put on.

Do any vendors sell the 5100 with the ome springs already put on? Compressing the springs is the only hard part. Installing the actual shock is easy

It’s somewhat the same concept but there’s more involved than a 60’s ranchero I would think.

There’s plenty of videos on YouTube to help anyways. Had never attacked a front end before when I put mine on and came out great (just get an alignment right after)

    Kings F&R, no sway bars
I researched a cumload before purchasing my king shocks all around no clickers 2.5's, over 40k miles on them no problems and are plush on the street and comfortable off-road. I got them for $2100 but it was worth it for me, I chose king because they have had less problems than the other brands, plus they're rebuildable like the others. It all comes down to your budget and use.
