While I was installing my new Morimoto XB headlights I noticed some leakage on the garage floor and in the driveway. When I located the source I found that my front passenger side 6112 had separated at the top of the body. Sucks! I installed them about 3.5 years ago. With that said, I have two questions out to the forum:

    1. Has anyone here dealt with Bilstein as far as warranty coverage is concerned?
    2. What other recommendations do you have for as plush as possible coil overs that come in the same height as the middle setting on the 6112?

All in all I have found the ride of the Bilsteins to be a bit stiff and would definitely consider better options!

Thanks in advance for any and all help you can provide!

Contact the place where you bought the shocks. They should send you a new one and then they deal with bilstein direct. At least thats how we did it when I worked form AllPro.

I don't see it being a safety issue for short rides. Just won't ride right and won't slow the compression down or control bounce back.

FWIW I just put on the Eibach Pro Sport shocks from Toytec and re-used the stock springs. Got roughly 2.25 inches of lift. It leveled out my CM. I enjoy the ride. It's more firm than stock but not harsh. More controllable and confident. Feels more like a truck than before.
