Yeah, can't help you with the 35s. My tires are just one over standard, 265/70 18, with standard gearing. For whatever reason, I get worse mileage pulling my 4500 lb boat/trlr to the gulf coast and back. Lots of wind resistance with T-top on the boat, I guess. I usual avg around 9-10 with the boat. Gearing would probably help you, but like you said, might not be worth the price for a couple MPG.

Going up US191 from here to I-70, US6 over Soldier Summit today, over to I-15 to Brigham City. Tomorrow up I-15 to Butte, MT tomorrow night, and I-90 the rest of the way. Doing 300 miles/day from here, easily making Spokane by Sunday. My friend and his family linger from here to see the sights. I'll be going home by a slightly shorter route through Denver and the TX panhandle.

Last post....mission complete. Dropped off the Jeep today, off-loaded the ammo, and turned in the Uhaul. Today's final leg calculated fuel mileage was 13.355 MPG. And that was from Butte, MT along I-90 climbing over Lookout Pass and 4th of July Pass to Coeur d'Alene, non-stop. My trusty Super White steed has been absolutely flawless.

Nothin' in my rearview but this for the past seven days. Finally rid of the millstone. A couple days hanging here, then back to Texas. But I must say, I DO love Montana.

Thats a cool trip! I’ll bet if the front wasn’t lifted it wouldn’t look too saggy in the back

It just occurred to me today, as I'm almost back home, that I forgot to mention one thing. I don't know that it made any difference on my gas mileage at all, but I do have the DAP tune on my truck. And use premium fuel all the time now. The tune has never made a noticeable difference in fuel consumption in the past, and since this is the only time I've pulled a load other than my boat, there's no way to make any comparison now. Just thought I'd go ahead and add in the DAP tune information as part of the equation.

I PCS in 10 months, don't know where yet, but if it's far enough to where the wife doesn't want to drive separate that far, might be towing the honda Odyssey. Don't worry the Tundra is white
